We buy this brand because it less expensive than others. The flavor is just as good as the name brands. We use a lot of peanut butter. Whether it is used on sandwiches, toast, on apples, or in cookie recipes, cake recipes, and more, it is very versatile. Nice and smooth. Lots of flavor.
This is another item I have in my "times are tight pantry" it does NOT last long in my house. For the price and amount it's very good for baking large batches of cookies, or peanut butter dessert items or breads. For myself I love peanut butter and fruit spread toast or muffins. I've never been disappointed in the quality of the product.
This is better than Jif, I swear it. It's a little bit firmer than the name brand, and a little bit less creamy, but the taste is way, way better. I fully recommend the Great Value brand and I have tried to get my friend to switch and he won't even try it! Just give it a go. For me, I think the deciding factor is that there is less sodium in the Great Value. Not having so much salt means you get more actual peanut taste. That's the point of peanut butter, right? Sigh. I fully admit. I eat some straight out of the jar every night right before bed.
Kinda difficult to justify spending the money on the name brands especially when we like GV as much or more than those more expensive... also my dog loves a spoonful as a treat! better for her than dog treats and hilarious to watch her (lick lick lick lick lick lick...5mins later lick lick) priceless!
This is pretty good peanut butter, and I buy it often. Seems to develop a bit of an oily taste if you don’t use the whole jar within a relatively short amount of time after it has been opened. It doesn’t have the taste of fresh roasted peanuts, but I buy it. Safely recommend.
Why pay more for a brand name peanut butter when you can get this one for a better price. Unable to differentiate the flavor between this one and the leading brands. My wallet was able to though since it was substantially cheaper for the amount that I was getting
I been buying great value creamy peanut butter, 40 oz for my kids because it's a better deal then the name brand. Love the texture and flavor and how soft and creamy the peanut butter is . It comes in a big plastic container with a twist off lid. Love that my kids can use it. And when you're done with the peanut butter you're left with a container that can be used for anything you need it for.
I tried Costco peanut butter and hated it. This peanut butter is the best despite no name brand. It is delicious and I eat it by the spoonful for desert. Adds protein without all the sugar in other treats.
I love this peanut butter. I have been buying GV peanut butter for a few years now and it is well liked in my household. It tastes great and is really smooth and creamy and is easy to spread. Sometimes I even skip the jelly and just have a plain peanut butter sandwich. I used to buy brand names that I thought were supposed to be better until I started looking at the nutrition information and it turns out GV is actually better than some of those brands and at a better price.
to oily, seemed like an above amount of oil diluting peanut flavor and other than peanut oil... never had so much non peanut flavored oil...perhaps it was a bad batch... i had same brand crunchy before was good, just ordered the crunchy again today,,, oil texture and taste minimal peanut taste in this jar
