Overall satisfied with these bulbs. They are real glass and save energy. Only wish the coating was a little deeper shade of amber.

The bulbs were big and not what I thought they were. The price was right. The bulbs are attractive and the color is great but not what I was searching for.

I am extremely disappointed in these bulbs, which I bought for the pair of weather-tight coach lights on my porch. While the color is pleasant (a bit like an old-school sodium vapor streetlight) and the light output is more than I expected for this size bulb, the build-quality is very poor. Even though these are LED bulbs, they are not made of the expected plastic, but very thin and fragile glass. One shattered as I was opening the package, but I was able to carefully tape it back together and it worked fine. Why on Earth would you make an LED bulb out of glass though, when plastic is so much safer and more durable? Furthermore, the other bulb (the one that didn't shatter) only worked for about three weeks, and then suddenly went out and never worked again. I only had it switched on for about two hours every evening, but after three weeks it was toast. So much for the "9 year" service life that is advertised! I tried it in several other lamps, but it won't work. I tried other bulbs in the coach light and they work fine, so it is definitely the bulb that's at fault. Unfortunately this is not the first time that I have been disappointed in the quality of Great Value bulbs. I stopped buying them several years ago, but then I saw these bulbs, which looked appealing for my particular use-case, and I thought perhaps the quality might have improved over the years. Sadly that is not the case, and I will never buy Great Value bulbs again. I have had much better luck with "contractor packs" of GE-brand bulbs when Lowe's has them on sale, as they are much cheaper (per bulb) than Great Value, but significantly higher quality.
