I wasn't sure if I would like these I'd love fig Newtons but because they're not the right brand that we all grew up on but actually they taste exactly the same as the more expensive ones This one just helps your pocket a little bit So if you like fig Newtons these are your best bet
This is my husband's favorite cookie. He has been eating this since he was a kid. It compares to other labels, which are much more expensive than the Great Value Brand, but we enjoy this one, and it is in our basket when the cookie jar calls. Thanks, B. Graham
Now, THESE are what Fig Newton's used to taste like... so good. The current name brand fig bar, to me, tastes like it's now an over processed, dry, and relatively tasteless cookie. BUT.. THESE fig bars are so moist, soft, chewy, and flavorful that you feel like you have stepped back into the 70's when life was simpler and food wasn't filled with so many preservatives or taste like chemicals. These are what I prefer over name brand. I'll never go back to Fig Newton's again.
The Great Value brand Fig bar cookies are Delishious ! The taste is natural without the tinge of synthetic ingredients or preservatives. The size of each cookie is considerable with the fig fruit being a generous portion. The packaging and quantity both are generous. The customer cost is priced fair. In comparison to another fig bar cookies brand, the Great Value fig bar cookies exceeds expectations for quality, taste, ingredients, unit size, packaging, package quantity and -- PRICE $ Natural Ingredients. Quality Product. Exceeds Competitors' Standards. Affordable Price.
My Dog tries to convince Me he should have the last Great Value Fig Bar in the the jar before refill. He usually wins because I love him and fig bars are good for both of us. They don't taste stale and are great with coffee and tea as they are not overwhelmingly sweet and have their own flavor!
I have been trying different fig cookies and I must say, the Walmart branded cookies are way better than the name brand cookies by far. Excellent deal!
First bite: kinda gooey but good they have alot of filling inside. Especially good with my coffee! They are better than expected. But they need a little bit more fig flavor. Priced ok. They're a little smaller than Nabisco? But more in package than I thought. I would buy again as long as the price don't go up.
When FIGS are Listed as an INGREDIENT.... Nearing one of THE LAST SUBSTANCES on the LIST OF SUGAR, ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, FLOUR, FILLERS, COLOR THICKENING AGENTS, SHELF-LIFE RETARDENTS, SYNTHESIZED ETC ETC FATS CARBOHYDRATES SWEETENERS.. IT WAS FRIGHTENINGLY UNEASY to FEED to your FAMILY and as EMBARRASSING to OFFER to GUESTS!
was , mushy old like it had been UN fresh on the shelf , for a while ... all cookies stuck together and was gooey , to take apart to eat them ... cookie crust , was very crumbly ... disappointing ... my favorite cookie ... and my favorite brand also ...
READ THE INGREDIENTS! I bought these looking to save a little and I was craving fig newtons, big mistake. The front of the package says “fig” and “made with real fruit”, there isn't any fruit in these on the label. And it's not like I read the label first I mean I'm eating cookies not a healthy snack so I wasn't label shopping. The cookies are dry and don't have the taste I was craving with fig newtons.
