I have only changed my filer once before and I remember having a heck of a time so I was really nervous. I have realized that not all filers are made the same. I am so happy how easy it went in and what a difference it makes on the water that is dispensed.

This is a good replacement for the original manufacturer filter. I just got this one, but I have used these Great Value filters before and they work like originals. Water taste so much better using a filter. Especially if you live in a bad water area. I dont like buying filters every 6 months, but that is a bone to pick with the manufacturer. It is alot cheaper that bottled water.

I was a little worried that this wasn't going to fit in my refrigerator due to the fact that mine is a little older. But works great water tastes good just like it did before I replaced filter. Wast easy to install directions we're easy to understand

So glad I found this generic GE water filter. The official GE filters are super expensive to replace so I end up trying to extend their use far longer than I should. You can easily use this filter by peeling the chip off the expensive filter and taping it to the inside fridge wall where the filter sits. It will work just fine even though the system says the water is not filtered, you know it is. Water tastes great and ice maker works too. What more can you ask for?

Don't buy if your fridge uses an RFID chip to tell the GE filters from non GE. It won't accept it and while there are tricks on YouTube for how to get it to work, most of these hacks either don't work, are cumbersome or a rough workaround and not worth all of the extra work.
