I love great value Walmart brand.. I'm a veteran and live month to month on my VA disability so I save money when I purchase Great Value. I was very lucky a few days ago and caught this on clearance which was only $8.09 for 30 double rolls of tp... yessir I'll take that! Won't have to pur-chase tp again for a long while.
This toilet paper was ordered as a compromise between scott and charmin. Scott is cheap but it is sand paper. Charmin is soft but expensive and linty. This toilet paper is everything you want charmin to be with the rugged charm of scott and the price of walmart. It is glorious and our new go to TP. Pros: Soft Gentle Does not tear while using Keeps hand dry Flushes well Good value for money Cons: I didn't find it sooner
I was looking for a more affordable toilet paper option and gave the Great Value brand a try. I was so surprised by how good it is! The "Soft %26 Strong" name is no joke—it's incredibly soft yet durable, and the mega rolls last forever. It's a great value and I don't feel like I'm giving up quality at all. I've switched to this permanently.
I bought these Walmart Mega Rolls toilet paper for everyday use, and overall I’m pretty pleased. The rolls are huge, so they last much longer than standard rolls, I don’t have to replace the roll as often, which is really convenient for a busy household. The price is very good for the size, especially compared to some name brands. The paper itself is soft enough for regular use and doesn’t feel too rough. It’s not the plushest toilet paper I’ve ever used, so I wouldn’t compare it to premium brands, but it gets the job done without irritation. It also doesn’t fall apart easily, which is important. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s a bit thinner than I expected , if you’re used to ultra-soft, multi-ply toilet paper, this might feel slightly on the lighter side. But for the price and quantity, I think it’s an alright choice.
I don't usually write reviews, and I think this is my first negative one; but I have to warn those who are cleanliness-conscious to look elsewhere for value. While this product may be soft, it is not strong for the demanding user. Frankly, it might be fine for all of a woman's needs, as she may not have as challenging post-movement clean-up needs as a cleanliness-conscious man. Speaking as one of the latter, I am absolutely infuriated at how often this product fails mid-wipe. Tearing and allowing my fingers to poke through defeats the purpose of using paper in the first place! The only reason I gave this product two stars is because it is the least expensive option and because it may suite less-demanding wipers' needs just fine...
After reading the highly praised reviews of this toilet paper, figured I would try it out, as my Sam's Club was out of the Members Mark (Sam's Brand) toilet paper I usually buy. I could tell from the close up photos in other reviews it wasn't the same "pattern" as the Sam's Club one (that one mimicks the ripples in Cottonelle and is just as soft). This appeared to be more a long the lines of a Charmin-esque toilet paper (in terms of design) and I knew it wouldn't be the same, but didn't expect the rolls of sandpaper I was accidentally sent (joking, it wasn't sandpaper, just feels like sandpaper, but not nearly as durable). It feels on par with dollar store Scott's 1,000 rolls we used to get in our college dorm room. It is definitely 2-ply, but more like 1.5? It isn't not durable, but isn't exactly durable either. Anyways, TLDR; I knew it wouldn't be as good as the Sam's Club Toilet paper. But didn't expect it to be THIS subpar, especially based on the highly positive reviews. Will not be repurchasing, unless it's a pandemic type situation again.
This toilet paper IS soft and strong. Soft in that it practically dissolves like pasty cotton candy during contact with wet skin and strong in that it plugs up the toilet every time you use it. I commend the truth in advertising but feel it's a bit misleading as far as what I was actually hoping for.
This toilet paper used to be pretty soft and good quality. This last purchase has been very poor quality and extremely rough. They've definitely changed the manufacturer. I will no longer be purchasing this brand. My skin is too sensitive to be using toilet paper that feels like sandpaper.
I tried to ask for a refund but they want me to bring it back to the store, I'm disabled, the entire reason I pay a year fee for unlimited deliveries. I've bought this many of times but this one is not what I normally get. The bag had a big tear in it but I didn't think much of it when it was delivered, just figured the delivery person wasn't to careful. However upon using a roll, this is not 2 ply, this is so thin, and very rough, and falls apart easily. Again, I've bought this several times, this is not the product I usually get. Either someone swapped out some of the rolls for a cheaper product or I got a really bad batch or mislabeled batch. I'd have been happy with a partial refund as I've already started to use one of the rolls and I will have to use 4 times as much as I normally use just so it doesn't completely fall apart while using it. But walmarts online return doesn't give any options other than that I'd have to physically bring the item back to get a refund which isn't worth my effort as again I'm disabled. I guess I'll be switching back to angel soft if this is the quality that this is going with now. Which is a shame because it was decent for it's price but now, 10 squares folded up and it's still falling apart using it.
I have used this tp for years and years and have always been extremely happy with it (great quality, great price)..... Until my last 2 purchases, particularly my last purchase. The quality of this tp is now so horrendous that it is almost unusable. It used to be strong and soft which was true to it's name, but now it has become very, very thin which makes it tear, create holes and rip apart easily. I appreciated and used Great Value (WM) products all the time but nowadays I feel cheated and ripped off. My recent experiences with GV products, not just this tp, has caused me to loose total confidence in Walmart AND it's GV products bc the quality of them has taken a huge dive and yet the prices of these products have skyrocketed. Walmart changes quality of it's GV products with impunity without changing the description of the quality of these items therefore lying to and deceiving it's customers. I know WM doesn't care about my review and experiences with its products but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. History had shown that empires do fall and this retail empire can fall too due to the mistreatment of it's customers.
