This Great Value tartar sauce is really well done. The flavor is creamy, tangy, and well balanced without being overpowering. It pairs perfectly with fish, seafood, and sandwiches. The texture is just right and tastes as good as higher-priced brands. Great Value really outdid themselves on this one. Excellent quality and a great buy.
I like the tartar sauce from the Great Value's brand at Walmart. The tartar sauce is tangy, and sweet too. The tartar sauce is used mainly on seafood. The seafood can be any fish like catfish, shrimp, tilapia, cod, and scallops. The time it takes for me to put two tablespoons of tartar sauce on my plate is less that a second. The texture of the tartar sauce is thick. The preparation of the fish is what is mostly time consuming. I can store the full bottle of tartar sauce in my cabinet or pantry. I can store the unused half bottle of open tartar sauce in my refrigerator. The I structions on the bottle request that the tartar sauce is handle that way to avoid any mistakes or food issues. Now, I would have loved to have the tartar sauce on a snack item like fish sticks, but I did not get to that yet. Well, I hope you enjoy. Thank you, Walmart.
I'm very picky when it comes to tarter sauce. I've always stuck with Kraft. However, with inflation, I decided to try this. To my surprise, it was just as good as the brand names! Great value! Great taste!
This is just as good as name brands. Tangy and twangy. I use it with my baked or fried fish. Great on fries as well. Recommend. And a great Value in price.
This taste delicious I prefer over name brand it's tastier and thicker and more for the money definitely like the lemon full flavor in it. Best Tartar sauce I ever had no lie. like the bottle. Thanks
Everyone knows what to expect from a classic tartar sauce. Nothing fancy, just the familiar taste we have come to rely on. While it is easy to dress it up if desired, this one already delivers great flavor, a satisfying thickness, and a convenient easy to use container. There is no reason to spend more. Great Value tastes just as good as the name brand options.
I find it a little sweet. I'm a purest in my dill tartar sauce. It isn't over so but just a little. Like many sauces in my fridge, it finds its way into salads and other creations that need some relish and mayo.
I'm a 71 year old retiree living on an extremely tight budget so I rarely purchase name brand items. Great Value tarter sauce is ok. It's not restaurant quality but it's close enough to Kraft for me to continue using it. Also, as I stated earlier about not using many name brands, I'd say that Great Value products almost compare equally to most of their counterparts.
Have bought this tartar sauce many times. Taste was great. This time the taste is kind of nauseating. Too sweet, very little tartness as well as very little pickle relish. And what’s up with the color? Kind of yellowish instead of the bright white. Will not buy again. Did you change your recipe? Not an improvement! Very disappointed.
I've bought the GV Tartar Sauce many times in the past and liked it fine. However, they must have changed the recipe, or used a different/lesser quality ingredient. Bottom line is I don't like the taste and won't buy again.
