so i bought this and then bought Teriyaki jack links beef jerky. its not even close. this one is soooo much better. its tender, a perfect amount of sweetness, and incredibly good value. if they take this away, i will be incredibly disappointed. dont waste your money on jack links just because its jack links.
I buy an assortment of jerky for my husband as a Christmas gift. I'm not the one that eats them, so this is a review from what he has said. It has a softer texture and is very flavorful. He is a denture wearer, so there are a lot of things he cannot eat. This is something that is perfect for him! Teriyaki is one of his favorites. The name (Great Value) is the perfect name for this product. was afraid that I wouldn't be able to do this for him this year because of the cost. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the cost is close to the same price as last year. THESE MAKE A GREAT GIFT FOR SOMEONE THAT IS HARD TO SHOP FOR.
This is the soft kind, not the fear your teeth apart trying to chew it kind. Very very pleasant surprise. Had to stop myself from eating it all at once. You won’t be disappointed
I love this beef jerky. The teriyaki is my favorite flavor. It is not hot and spicy. The texture is what I expect in beef jerky. It's stringy and chewy. It is fairly moist and not dry. It is real jerky, not pressed, dried pieces of meat. You can see the holes in the ends, where it was stretched and dried. I've been a fan of beef jerky since I was a child, and I buy this all the time. It's an excellent product at an excellent price. In general jerky is a pretty healthy snack. This is one of Walmart's real, "Great Values."
i use this as part of my hurricane emergency food kit. Just track the expiration date and replace as needed. I find this is better than the emergency food kits. Also a good protein snack on road trips and definitely cheaper than buying from a gas station along the highway.
If you love teriyaki jerky but hate the higher prices of name brands this is the perfect alternative. The flavor has a great balance of sweet and savory without being overwhelming. The texture is good to. It's tender enough to chew without being mushy. It is significantly more affordable than the other brands on the shelf, making it a staple in my pantry. You get a lot of quality for the price.
I have eaten a lot of jerky’s from all over the U. S.. Spicy, mild, in between. Artisan, big name brands and from back yard makers. Beef, chicken, turkey buffalo, deer and I always come back to this particular brand and flavor. For me the flavor and texture are perfect. Some pieces probably should not be classified as jerky they are so tender. I never read the nutrition or ingredients label so it’s probably not as good for me as others but it’s what my taste buds like and no one else in my family does so I get the entire bag!
This beef jerky is so flavorful and easy to bite because it is so tender. My son packs a small bag to take to school as a protein kick before athletics. It also comes in a resealable bag so it stays fresh.
opened package and the freshness, the intense teriyaki aroma hits your nostrils. the teriyaki wasn't as hard and dried out like Jack Links brand which I liked. the size of the pieces varies though to real tiny slivers. Still, I'd rather deal with small, tiny, soft digestible pieces than hard, chewy shoe leather.
The texture/feel in my mouth was totally different from the name brand. It is cheaper and some may like it but it wasn’t for me. I always try name brand and store brands to compare. This was just one k didn’t like. I would post a picture but I threw it away because my kids wouldn’t even eat it.
