Great Value Water Filter, Fits Great Value & Brita Pitchers, Replacement Filter 1 Count

Our go to! My family keeps a brita pitcher in the fridge and when the terrible task of changing the filter comes about…. Being able to buy a store brand version of this for an affordable price at Walmart is the only thing making this recurring chore tolerable.

I'm really glad that great value has this product because sometimes I delay getting a new filter for our Brita because the filters that they make seem so much more expensive.

This Great Value product I just as good as the premium product that cost much more. This family really enjoys the fresh water taste, of no taste, since we have introduced a pure water pitcher to our diet and enjoyment. Thank you for making our needs more affordable.

Used other filters and they just don't compare to this one. The quality of taste is what I look for the most.

I would not recommend this item. this is because it does not fit well in the water pitcher. Even when you get it tight inside the pitcher, it will come loose after you pour the water. it doesn't secure well. If it had a gasket to help seal and hold it in place it would make a difference. all the water does NOT go through the filter. Some of it bypasses the water filter.

So the whole reason I started buying water filters, was because my cat started having issues with crystals and blockages, when we moved here. After doing research it came to my attention that hard water can play a role in this issue, I looked up where I live and we have SUPER hard water. Looked for a cheap solution, because I'm not wealthy. I came upon these and Brita filters that have "ion exchange". Like I said I don't have a lot of money, so I opted for the Great Value brand. To me, most off/store brands are just as good as the named brand. The filters worked to do what I needed, but they kept changing the design, because they were slow to filter, like SUPER slow, (and yes it was annoying) but they did what I needed so I stayed with them. Now they have a filter design, that filters fast, to me a little TOO fast. It goes straight through and doesn't seem like it's enough to really filter, but I stayed with them. Now I have noticed that with the newest filter design, they filter too fast, and now I'm getting hard water rings on my cats' bowls. Haven't had an issue with this, from this brand until now. They have messed with the design too much and have a product that isn't worth squat to me. If it isn't filtering hard water then what else is it not filtering? The only reason I can tell it's not doing the job I need is because hard water has a telltale signs that's a visual indicator, but other things do not, so we don't really know what is and isn't being filtered. Also, just in case you don't know hard water can contribute to kidney stones, not the sole problem but it doesn't help the situation.

They say it will fit my Brita pitcher... not really it is not a good snug fit, so now I know to buy Brita products for Brita items.

WARNING I WISH I HAD RECEIVED: This product does NOT fit into Brita water dispensers. Despite what it leads you to believe on the package, the filter does not fit snug into the tank. This allows water from leaking out around it rendering the entire thing completely and utterly useless.

Didn't fit correctly even though it says it. Should. The water just ran through not filtered. Waste of money
