The amount of Coconut coir chunks could be 20% more to provide the value for pricing. Texture is what was expected, and provides the desired bulking, and water/nutrient retention goals for my indoor plants.

I loved it was packaged in a small brick. Therefore I didnt have to store a huge bag When water is added it "grows". My orchard plants are thriving since I transplanted them in this product!

LOVE this product!! I use it in my aroid potting mix for my orchids, philodendrons, syngoniums, alglaomenas, alocasias, anthuriums.....basically, anything that requires a bit more drainage. Perlite tends to "float" or gravitate to the top after several watering cycles, this coir is a far superior alternative. I also use it as a top dressing, and for my terrariums. This brand in particular is the best, as the product has been rinsed several times to prevent a higher than desired ph. Additionally: it's just the right size for creating the perfect "chunky" aroid mix. Comes in a solid compressed block.....hydrate with warm water for quick use, or simply store it in the potting mix bin, and it will soften enough to become easy to break apart as you need it.

Since I am an outdoor vegetable gardener using only containers that lives in a warmer region in Southern California, I use Coconut Choir exclusively to cover the soil around each plant in the containers they're in. This has been extremely helpful in keeping the soil and roots moist throughout the hot days, and the plants seem to survive and thrive even in extreme temperatures. As this is the first time I've used the Gro-Med product, my experience has been an absolutely positive one.
