I bought this product as during my research found out that this is good to take to stop coughing especially at nightbwhen you are trying to sleep, and I can say it is if you're up all night coughing, a tablespoon of this will definitely help. I've been fighting a cold and coughing at night. And I took 1 tbsp of this, and I was able to get 4 hours of sleep without coughing, highly recommend.
This honey in particular is wonderful in treating the pain of a sore throat! Also, for cold symptoms. Its got a wonderful mildly sweet woodsy taste. Very pleasant!
I'm not great on honey but it's supposed to be good for you and it's supposed to be good for your dogs. so originally I bought it for the dogs but we liked it so much! Also, husband had a swollen hand and we weren't sure what it was so I had him five servings of Honey throughout the day and gave him two Aleve and his swelling went down the next morning and he was able to move his hand!
Buckwheat has been identified as a 6000 year old cultivated seed and has many medicinal properties. It's gluten free (not “wheat” though used in ways wheat is used as a cereal) and many cultures have many different recipes to try.
Excellent honey and price!
I bought and used Gunters pure buckwheat honey for a homemade gluten free beer. This honey tasted excellent, was packaged well and is doing its job. Will buy again when I make another batch in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Very good honey!
Don't expect that usual Smoove, relaxing, stress relieving taste, better yet, get ready for a very strong, earthy taste that, at first almost offends the taste buds but it soon releases a complex number of tastes blended the way only Mother Nature can create. Imagine clover honey as the "light" level of honey, taste then buckwheat would be the exact opposite. It's well worth the journey.
This honey is thinner than the other Buckwheat honey's I have bought before. But for the price it is worth it? I know that it will crystalize, and for me that'll be better, since I like it that way. It tastes like buckwheat honey but milder than before with the other more premium buckwheat's I purchased before. So I update this later if the honey doesn't crystalize and thicken up a bit.
