Bob's Red Mill, Organic Buckwheat Flour, 22 oz

I prefer Bob's Red Mill Organic Buckwheat Flour over all others and I have tried many. I would recommend this product for those who bake with organic flours on every level and I like the fact that this company is owned by the employees and they make the very best products in my opinion.

Delicious product. Gives breads an extra rich flavor and texture.

Makes delicious pancakes.

I have always gotten Bobs Red Mill flours and they are all pretty good.

We add ~15% buckwheat flour and ~15% corn flour when making pancakes, ~20% buckwheat four when making noodles or orecchiette. It is much healthier, and we really love the flavor and texture. Always choose red mill's buckwheat and this time we bought whole 2 cases of them ! (enough for whole year XD)

Developed a recipe for buckwheat pancakes for my website using this flour and they are delicious! Much better than standard pancakes, and better for you. Will be trying it in banana bread next.

I had always purchased my Bob's whole grain buckwheat flour from my local healthfood store (run out of business by a mega corporation). l attempted online order from "Anthony's Goods" in Reno, NV [that was marketed as whole grain, yet lacked the hull]. One waffle attempt: stuck waffle with the consistency of cardboard. l ordered a 25 pound bag of Bob's Whole Grain Organic Buckwheat Flour: my 100 year-old heirloom waffle iron, my girlfriend & l are ALL HAPPY NOW. I've never had buckwheat anything before, but while shopping for other grains I saw that here was a dark flour. I like my bread to be interesting and distinctive-looking and was curious to try it out. I was too chicken to use a large proportion, though; the pictures are bread that's 60% unbleached, and 20% each whole wheat and buckwheat. The dough was a joy to work with although it took forever to proof, and the finished bread turned out to be delicious! I can't wait to try it in a tri-color loaf.
