I like this microwave. I've had it almost 10 months. It is working well. I purchased this because I bought one from Ocean State Job lot that did Not allow you to use the timer and the microwave at the same time. I never expected that! This one is a good one.
Stop looking, this is your microwave. prefect and a great price. Everything you heat/cook ask for 1100 watts and this is 1000 close enough i tested it. If you go down to 800 watts it will not be enough. 1.1 CF Perfect size. Big enough for just about anything but almost compact. When you pick it up you will know it's not a piece of crap because it's Heavy.
We have owed this for two weeks. This is a perfect machine. It heats up coffee in a min and a half. It is powerful. The white lettering is nice and the push door is very nice feature. It is easy to open and doesnt slid away when you open the door. The best microwave we had and the price was perfect. My wife and I are happy.
adequate. Has kind of a "cheap" feel to it, but you get what you pay for (although there are even cheaper models). Ask in about 12 years- I think that's how long my Emerson lasted- but a power surge killed it, not normal failure. I do like the control board setup, which is almost standard (if something works, leave it alone).
I'm very satisfied with this unit. However, 2 minor quibbles keep me from giving it an extra star. 1. The kitchen timer reverts to the clock display after a few seconds. To see how much time is remaining you need to press the timer button again. And again. I use my iPhone instead. 2. The defrost function stops halfway through your set time. This is to allow you to flip your food over or stir it. if you don't want to do either, no instructions are given to avoid the halfway stop. I can work around this tt but it's still annoying.
Microwave was damaged when removed from the box but the box didn't have any damage, so it was packaged that way. Screw had been over tightened on the side denting the side and the top right side was messed up and didn't match up. The microwave works great and is big enough inside to hold my "fudge bowl". I contacted Hamilton Beach and they didn't help.
Purchased mid-March. Inexpensive and worked quite well, but seems to hold on to moisture and began to develop rust in a few seams despite weekly cleanings. Three days ago, I noticed something I put in was still cold after 3 minutes, which had not been my experience with this product until now. i thought maybe it was a fluke, but it's taking 6-9 minutes to heat a small cup of water at this point. My previous microwave lasted nearly 15 years, but this one, supposedly of better quality, didn't even make it a year.
It seems every brand of microwave has a short lifespan of 1-2 years. I was super disappointed with our Oster brand that we bought last year and right after the warranty ended, it malfunctioned on us and started rusting badly. Then I read the reviews on it and saw others complained about the same issues. So I made sure to read the reviews for my next purchase and lo and behold every brand had several people mentioning that their unit lasted less than 2 years. So we opted for a cheap one and this was promising since it didn't mention it going out prematurely but it did get mentioned several times that the units were dented. I figured it was a good risk. At least everyone said it worked well for a long time. Lo and behold, I opened the box to see the styrofoam broken on one corner and a nice little dent. It went back right away. After getting a replacement, we realized the last one didn't have a turntable and some of the packaging to keep from scratches. What happened there??? Not sure if I would recommend. I didn't dare try it out. And the replacement is a little different than this one.
I received my order (A Microwave Oven) which has a dent on the top. So no, I am not very happy. I dont believe this will effect the ability to work however, it is an unexpected disappointment. Also, when It was delivered, it was left in front of my garage door. My garage is not attached to my home and is approximately 100 feet from and out of view from my front door.
I bought this microwave June 1st 2022. It died June 12th 2022. We have used it 1-2 times a day since we bought it. On average we run it 5-6 minutes each use. My wife put something in it for 15 minutes today and it just stopped. We have less than 3 hours on it. Our last one lasted around 6 years. And that was the cheapest 1 on the shelf at the time. This one died after 12 days. I looked at the reviews and it looks like these microwaves are having alot of issues right now. I'm not sure if I'm going to exchange it or get a refund at this point. I'm going to do a google search to see how widespread the issue is. It's also getting very hot. To hot for my comfort.
