Hamilton Beach 4-Slice Toaster with Extra-Wide Slots, Toast Boost & Removable Crumb Tray, Stainless Steel

Wanted a toaster that only toasts bread. So many other toasters have the ability to defrost, toast English muffins and other assorted muffins. The slots to put bread in are wide, the toasting is even on both sides of the bread and whatever you set the dial at is exactly what you get. I'm quite pleased with the selection I made.

This toaster has to be popular. It took 3 weeks before we received it. It was worth the wait. Works great. We have a big family, so 4 slice toaster is a must.

Read a lot of reviews and looked at a lot of toasters, but came to the conclusion it is just the husband and I, and when we fix breakfast or whatever we don't have to wait or why should we wait when we made a mistake and downsized from children to us and got a 2 slice for space and well its just the two of us, well, I know, patience left with the empty house:) LOL anyway, this is a nice toaster, its not solid or heavy though, it is doable and worth it.

I can say that this is a great quality toaster, as we had one for about 12 years and I purchased the exact same one just a few months ago to replace it! lol. And we only replaced it because it looked grungy and I couldn't get it super clean looking anymore; not because it stopped working. It fits buns and bagels and you can lift the handle up a bit in order to expose more of the bread to grab after it pops up. It also has removable crumb tray for easier cleaning.

We got the 4-slice toaster, model 24910G. It's a no-nonsense classic. It's sturdy, has 2 numbered dials for exactness, each dial with a pop-up cancel button, and two crumb slide out trays out back. We are very happy with it, and expect it to last a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this toaster! It's sleek and doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It's easy to clean the crumbs by emptying the trays at the bottom. You can adjust the setting to your preference which I like, and there are two cancel buttons if you want to take your toast out before the cycle ends. Having the option to toast four slices of bread is very convenient!

Good solid toaster compared to most, handles and dials are sturdy, did have a small dent in the side as the walls are a bit flimsy, but all toasters are getting that way due to cost cutting measures!

Bought new through my local ace. Like that it's metal rather than plastic body front. Cord enters the toaster bottom about 1" back from the front of the toaster about 1" in from the right side. "Let's turn the toaster sideways on the counter" said nobody, ever. Would prefer a rear mounted cord, but it isn't a deal breaker. It does have a simply cancel button, which we like. Getting the dials figured out for preferred level of brown was relatively quick process. Side panels get warm, but not blistering hot after two sets of four pieces run through, works great on toast through bagels, even those sugary sweet pastry things with the name that rhymes with cop fart work well! It IS a keeper. Thanks, HB for a good product.

it takes a very long time to toast even on a 3 or 4 setting

The right-side push down mechanism will not cancel when you push the little button next to the toast darkness level dial. This happened on the first day so either this product is cheaply made or I may have received a defective one. I will be returning it and ordering a different toaster altogether. Left side works fine.
