This Hamilton Beach 8 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker is the best that I've ever used and I've used a few over my 60+ years. Perfect in size, features and cost.

Bought a this b/c of recommendations on cooking shows and i must, even at this price, its awsome! Cooks rice perfectly, every time. There is also a steaming basket for vegies, shrimp ect. Cleanup is easy due to removable bowl. Con- no additional features. All in all a great addition to any kitchen if you eat rice often or plan to.

I used this the same day it was delivered. It is perfect for my family of 3. No more cooking tons of extra rice. I just added 1.5 cups of parboiled rice and 1.5 cups of water to the non-stick insert, put my veggies in the plastic steamer basket above, placed the cover and turned it on. I even used the bowl and lid to easily store the leftovers in the fridge. Simple clean-up and doesn't take up much room. The only improvement would be making the holes on the steamer smaller so that peas, corn kernels, etc., don't slip through the openings. Works great. I would recommend it for single people or small families that don't need to cook a big pot of rice all at once.

It's decent for a single person but it takes a long time - 25 min or more - to cook rice and steam veggies. Just steaming veggies takes 30min . So far the rice is excellent and the veggies are okay. Once it finishes, both the bowl and steaming basket are hot and it is hard to remove them and the food without getting burned. The steaming basket is plastic and is badly stained just with steaming carrots twice. The feet at the bottom of the cooker are plastic and the unit slides around as you try to remove the food. Reasonable value for the money but could be quicker and easier to handle.

Very simple to use. Makes good rice. Steamer container has holes that let Peas fall through into the water. No timer for steaming

The size of this rice cooker is fine, suitable for 1-3 people. However from the title and picture of it, I was expecting a cooker with a steamer tray, but there's not steamer at all ~~~~don't know why!

The cooking is fast, but the rice turns out very mushy, and the bottom is always covered with a burnt, sticky layer. The “keep warm” function makes it even worse — the bottom becomes hard and scorched. It's really unacceptable and very disappointing.

I ordered this online.Its defective.I use online to save my time going in physical store.Now how will i return this product without going in your store???

I bought this hoping it is the same one in the picture because we have model but instead I got a smaller model.
