Hamilton Beach Durathon Clothing Iron, Steam Iron for Clothes with Durathon Nonstick Soleplate, White

I bought an expensive Shark Brand Iron three ir four years ago and never liked it. This is inexpensive and works perfectly! It heats quickly to temp too so I don't have to wait as long when ironing seams from seeing. All these newer irons have auto shut off which is not convenient for us seamstresses.

I have had this iron for a short time, but used a lot, so far, I highly recommend it. I have had tried the most expensive irons (specially for people who sew, which I do) to the least expensive. This one I like the best. You get consistent steam to the last bit of water. It's nonstick, log cord, which swivels out of the way. It's med weight, which is good, if too light weight, you don't get a good press. (this is very important when sewing) auto shut off is a great feature. All this and a very good price

I have bought many expensive irons searching for one that as a quilter would flatten my seams. I heard about this iron from Coriandfer quilts YouTube video. She says only one she uses for her sewing. My expensive iron broke last week and I decided to give this a try. What did I have to lose for $29. Omgosh, this iron is amazing in the steam, the heat and it didn't suck up water There is no leaking or water spitting! This is a must buy!!! I have never used an iron that had worked better.

OMG! Guys this is the iron you want! Its solid, durable and impressive. It steams so well. The teflon plate glides easily and helps prevent burning fabric. I love that it shuts off automatically if you forget. I do wish the cord was retractable but that wasn't at the top of my list when I wanted to replace that poor performing B%26D iron. This one has a large easy to fill water spout that seals well when closed. It may feel a little heavy at first but you soon forget it.

Used one day and was satisfied with the iron. Like the long cord though the swivel is stiff. Good steam and control knobs for both steam and temp settings. Nice weight as well.

I like very much the Hamilton Beach clothing irons, the durathon model to be more specific. It works very well, is lightweight and the durathon nonstick plate makes it super easy to clean so it won't stain your clothes. Works well with the steamer although I'm not a fan of using it. If I use it, I make sure to empty the water from the container so it won't rust internally and eventually will damage your clothes when it starts dripping. I had the digital model (purple) and it lasted for almost 7 years on a 4-6 family. That model is a bit heavier but works amazing. Plus I love the idea of the retractable cord. It has a red tape indicating the limit should pull the cord to. (Fact is that mine broke because someone took off the red tape and then started pulling the cord till the end until it broke.) But if you have to buy on budget (priorities), this one work well with its traditional heat/clothing selection disc and no retractable cord. As for the cord, just add a Velcro strip to keep it tied when not in use.

This iron heats up well. The steam works well also. This iron has a teflon soleplate. If you use starch, the soleplate gunks up, and you have to clean it every couple of days. Despite cleaning, it does not return to the surface when purchased. DO NOT buy any iron with a teflon soleplate.

The box was pitiful. Mashed, torn, and scotch taped. Iron seems ok but wonder if it was a return. Should never have been sent by Walmart. Disappointed in box.

the iron got the wrinkles out great.. The Iron itself tipped over 5 times ironing a shirt. The cord is too close to the bottom of the iron. I would not buy this iron again unless changes were made to the power cord

I am Very disappointed, I spend almost 2 hours on the Walmart pick up area for my order , finally I called Walmart customer service and it came out somebody pick up my item approximately around 1 hour or less before me I did exactly what was the instructions for picking up my order How come the person get my item for free because the representative did not bother himself to check the picture ID to release the item for the right customer It is so unprofessional ‼️
