This thing is a beast. It's pretty heavy duty. The legs are solid, the top is wide and larger than a typical ironing board and it includes an iron rest and a little shelf. I like that it's height adjustable so you can go up or down as needed. You do need a little bit more space with something of this size. This would be for someone who irons a lot and has a little extra room to spare.

I absolutely love this Better Homes and Gardens Wide Top Ironing Board! The build is truly heavy-duty and feels very stable, which makes ironing so much easier. The wide, broad surface is a huge plus — it gives plenty of room to spread out fabrics, and it's especially helpful for saree pleating. I can lay the saree flat without constantly readjusting it, and it saves so much time. The built-in iron rest is very convenient, and the adjustable height makes it comfortable to use for long ironing sessions. Overall, this is a sturdy, well-designed ironing board that's totally worth it. Highly recommended!

This is very wide and sturdy for stability. I would definitely purchase this if you're considering getting a new ironing board. It has a place to set the hot iron and a shelf underneath to store items. I've had other boards in the past that would tip easily , however this one has a wide stance and will not tip.

I'm not sure why this received bad reviews, but the one I received is solid and sturdy. The cover and padding are fine, not thick, but not too thin. It opens and closes very smoothly with little noise. It has a nice wide top to iron on and stores nicely. This is not your standard board from back in the day. It is a little on the expensive side, but they all are now. Overall, Im glad I ordered this and I would recommend to anyone.

I know what you're thinking, but the price! This is a great wide ironing board. It is super steady and sturdy, Not only did I buy it for ironing, but also wrapping gifts. The ironing board makes gift wrapping so much nicer on your back than trying to lean over a table. Also easier than sitting on the floor to wrap presents and now you're land locked trying to stand.

This is a very sturdy, well-balanced ironing board. The extra width is nice to have. So many ironing boards are flimsy and shaky, but this one is solid and doesn't wobble, which is important when you're using a hot iron! It's a little more expensive, but completely worth it.

The size is wonderful as it's very wide and very long very nice. The only down side is you have to reach across it in order to push the handle to close it. If your right handed the point goes to the left and the lever to close it is on the far side so it makes it difficult because of his very wide in this heavier that way. But a very nice to have and I am quite thrilled because it has a nice place for the iron to sit and a shelf underneath the place items on.

While the quality of the product is acceptable, the design has some blaring flaws. A) I understand why they have an attachment on the back of the ironing board for the purpose of being able to hold an iron and even spots for a spray bottle. However, the built in iron rest with slotted sections for clothes hangers and spray bottle is low quality and flimsy, not at all sturdy, the sections to hold spray bottle are not deep enough or big enough around to actually hold the bottle in a stable manner. The section that is meant to hold the iron is way to small for my iron, not really stable for any regular iron. Maybe for much smaller types of irons. B) There is a space left between the ironing board and the iron holder shelf that is just large enough to catch the cord making it a hindrance rather than any helpful action. Sadly, currently, this is the design standard for every ironing board. C) My opinion is that the cost...while lower than other options...is way more than is acceptable. I know that cost of goods has risen in the last few years, and I did need to purchase an extra wide ironing board to use with my quilting and sewing, but the cost difference between a regular ironing board compared to the extra wide is not justified. The ironing board is suitable, built fairly well and was able to set up and use with ease from the moment it was delivered. I would recommend the purchase of this ironing board to someone that needed a wider work area. Also, cost wise it was lower than other options available. There is also a wire shelf attached to the lower portion of the ironing board that I can only envision as a place to hold ironed items ready to put away.

The legs on this ironing board are not even. The ironing board wobbles which is dangerous with a hot iron. We returned one ironing board for another one but the replacement had the same issue. I think they have a manufacturing defect. I'm returning the second ironing board too. Too bad, as it could have been a good product otherwise.

I typically like the wider iron board but this one is poorly constructed. It started off kinda rocky and I thought nothing of it. In fact, this is the second I've purchased in one year and the exact same issue. All of a sudden the iron board falls while I'm using it. Parts start falling off and soldered portion becomes undone and it no longer stands on its own. I would not recommend this item for purchase.
