I love my Hamilton 2speed blender with food Chopper.I find it very easy to use .It's very durable just the right size .I love the combination of blending or chopping .It works great .I will be getting a couple more for fFamily members. It was a great price for it.
This blender is so powerful the blades are mega sharp and it's so easy to clean, the cover is tight and the feeder size is just right, I've made smoothies, frozen drinks and blended dry coconut in it, it's so easy to assemble and it's the best blender I ever owned. I love it I forgot the small food chopping attachment is also great .
I bought this combo for making my morning nut and berry smoothies. I chop the nuts and seeds in the chopper the night before, then soak overnight so they are soft in the morning. The blender does a great job of preparing the smoothie with frozen berries and the softened nut pieces. I do chop Brazil nuts by hand first before putting the pieces in the chopper, and I do not put whole almonds in the chopper either. I am leery of wearing out the motor like I did with my previous blender, a Black & Decker Cyclone. Walnuts chop fine in this chopper, however. My husband has started using the blender now to make his own fruit and yogurt smoothies and loves it, too. The only issue I have is the amount of noise on high speed; low speed is fine.
You might need to stand by and hold lid while operating, but one thing for sure this thing crushes ice very well. I really do not know how to use it as of yet in the right way, but I made cocktails all night, have made baby food on it, crushed ice the little part I used to crush meat, did not like it came out puree, other than that this is a great powerful thing, I Am satisfied with investment.
Serrated part of the blade makes rough chops. Cutting could be smoother.
This is a replacement blender for an old one. On the plus side, it has a heavy glass jar (not thin plastic!), and definitely seems to have enough power. It also has a "wave" design feature, which is a raised portion of the jar's interior, that gravity-feeds the contents down into the blades, which reduces, if not eliminates, stopping the blender to scrape down the sides. The one negative is, the lid is constructed from smooth plastic and is press-fit into the jar -- not screwed or snapped in. Because it's so slick, it tends to work its way out of the jar as the blender is running. Putting a small weight, such as a can of soup, on top of the lid helps to keep it in place, but if you need to add ingredients through the lid, this method is rather inconvenient. One other cosmetic issue: The "stainless steel" on the sides of the blender are plastic plates. I haven't yet needed to use the extra food processor jar, but with only a 3-cup capacity, I'll probably end up just chopping the ingredients by hand. However, because of the well-made glass jar and the amount of power, I would still recommend this blender.
Love the blender, very effective and sturdy. Only 4 stars because I wish the chopper was bigger, at this size it's not quite as useful as it could be. Still, I had the oster brand blender/chopper and it was unsteady, the chopper broke after a week. Replaced it with this one and I'm very happy with it. Would definitely recommend!
Milk shakes, no problem. Bread crumbs are another story. 1slice at a time and still nothing. Older blender needed to be replaced and thought this was a good choice. I think the blades are too short and bottom line, in my opinion, not worth it. Photo shows bread just sitting against glass. Tried plain bread as well as toasted. It just flipped around even after 5 minutes. Yes I kept at it to see if i would get crumbs. Will donate if it keeps disappointing on other tasks.
I'm so disappointed when I received this item, look!! the food processor screw.
It arrived with a crack on the lid I was a bit dissatisfied
