Hamilton Beach Stainless Steel Electric Kettle, Tea & Water Kettle, 1L, Black Accents

This is one of the most used appliances in my kitchen. I didn't know I needed it until I bought it on a whim. My goodness what a wonderful thing to have for a quick cup of tea. It works perfectly and it's a great value. Makes 2 cups of tea or cocoa, or instant coffee even. Soup anyone? You'll wish you'd bought it sooner and wonder how you survived without it as long as you did!

I've had this for a month or more now. Works very well at a good price. I was tempted to buy those cooler looking, more expensive ones, but this does a very good job. Heating up at the top line probably takes 3-5 minutes and keeping the water hot/warm stays for probably 6 hours. Recommend!

It works fantastic. More efficiently than a bigger, more expensive kettle my daughter gifted me. Tip that I picked up from another reviewer if you have hard water: Use bottled water. She said distilled but regular bottle is working fine for me and one 16.9 oz is perfect for minimum amount. And it's not wrecking kettle. I wonder if that's why the other broke in less than year.

I was cheap to buy a kettle bc most were like $30 n a very small stainless steel pan was doing the trick, lol. I saw this little kettle thought Id try it out, LOVE it!!! Also Im a freak about heated exposure to plastics n such, this kettle pretty much has all stainless steel exposure to all heated elements. And its only $20. Heats Quickly! N turns self off when ready, great for ADD people like me! When you ready to use it, just press side button n it quickly heats up again. Works well for what we need. Maybe get the bigger one if you have a larger family or group use.

love for travel. great for folgers instant Coffee. boil water for noodles, my big burner on stove went out, takes to long to boil water on the other burners, I just boil the water in my kettle and go from there. I could go on and on. any white water spots in bottom, just add teaspoon white vinegar and rinse.

I love this electric water pot. it heats water in seconds for hot tea instant mashed potatoes... instant oatneal ...jello... don't have to turn the stove on to wait for the water to boil. and it's stainless steel and light weight. easy to handle also.

I like the smaller size -- 1L vs. the more common 1.7L, as I rarely am making more than one serving of anything. Heats fast, works well, price made it a no-brainer. My only complaint is the power cord. It is the most stiff power cord I've seen on a consumer appliance, and when teamed up with the very light weight base, it really often doesn't stay where you put it without the kettle on the base. Very weird complaint, I admit. Recently saw my brother's same maker, almost identical kettle, but 1.7L version, and his cord was quite "normal", so maybe I just got a weird one.

Great Little Kettle for the money. Got mine delivered from Wal-Mart for $20. Heats up super fast, and takes so little time. My one complaint is how stiff the cord is. The base that connects to the kettle, is a bit flimsy (light weight), so it's a bit cumbersome keeping it in its place because of the cord. This can be solved with a zip-tie, or bread tie. Find where you want to put it, plug it in, and zip-tir the cord. Will make 2 large cups of tea. I love how quick and how HOT the water is.

After 6 months or so it stopped working. Used it every morning to make hot water, and it up an quits. Wish I knew how to get a partial refund or replacement

I cannot believe that this electric kettle is rusting on the inside. I am glad that I've noticed soon that the kettle is rusting. I am super upset that Hamilton Beach is using such a cheap material for manufacturing electric kettles. I wish they care more about customers' health. How is this stainless steel? I can image what will happen to this product in few month.
