Hamilton Beach Stainless Steel Electric Kettle, Tea & Water Kettle, 1L

This is an EXCELLENT "Electric Hot Water Kettle"!!! ...I have just purchased my 2nd one; my 1st one lasted for 11-years! If you use "distilled water", it will help it to last longer. Also, be sure to regularly clean the "mesh filter" at the pour-spout every other month - by soaking it in "white vinegar' for about 20-minutes. ...There's nothing like a nice hot cup of Tea at the start (or close) of each day, from a really GREAT reliable teapot! ;)

When you're dealing w/ the heat and humidity on the east coast, the last thing you're thinking about drinking is hot anything. So mid-Summer isn't the greatest time to try out this product. It doesn't matter that you can have fresh brewed tea or coffee in minutes when it's EXTRA hot and muggy all day every day. It feels like it's 1000° around here. But, then you remember that ice exists. Hello, Iced Tea. How ya doing, Iced Coffee? This kettle is very simple to use. The water measurement guide is right there under the handle so you can easily see the max water line. You sit it on the little heating element, flick the switch and let it do it's thing. I kinda/sorta timed it and it was piping hot in less than three minutes. That may vary according to the amount of water you're heating up. I assume that if you're just heating up a single cup of water, it would probably be faster. After you're done the cord wraps neatly and securely in the bottom of the heating element. It's relatively tiny, so it can fit anywhere on your counter, a cabinet shelf or on your desk. It's cute too, the stainless steel looks good. I highly recommend this Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle. It will get used a lot this summer for Iced tea/coffee making purposes, but I know that it will be used daily in the colder months.

I've never had an electric kettle before, as I never found the need. I was wrong: This is very handy. This model comes free from the base, and the kettle itself is cord-free, so it's easy to pour from. It will heat a full kettle of water in around two minutes. You can also put in a can of soup and heat it in the same amount of time. It's super easy to use: My adult son is high-functioning developmentally disabled, and he had no problem setting this up and using it on his own. He loves that's it's easy and fast, and it shuts off automatically to prevent over-boiling, in case he forgets to shut it off. It's also handy for using in our camper trailer, as it has a small footprint and doesn't require the gas stove to be lit. The filter is removable, and it cleans up easily.

My old electric Kettle had worn out, so I was excited to get this Hamilton Beach Stainless Steel Electric Kettle which is really nice. It looks elegant enough to leave on the Kitchen Counter and I like that it comes with a Filter inside the Spout. The Label on the Box promises that this Kettle boils water faster than Stovetop, so I did the comparison. I used the measurement on this electric Kettle and poured 0.6 L in my old Enamel Stovetop Kettle and then filled this Electric Kettle to 0.6 L again and then started both at the same time. The Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle shut off with boiling water after 2:57 minutes, while my Enamel Kettle started whistling on the gas-stove after 4:03 minutes. So this Electric Kettle boils 0.6 L water faster by over a minute, which is great when you've got to rush in the Morning and every minute counts. There is really nothing to complain about this Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle. The Lid is attached and pops open by pushing the button, good for not loosing the Lid in the Morning rush. The measurement might be a bit hard to read since it's a bit covered by the handle, so you have to jiggle the Kettle a bit and peek around the handle to see how much the Kettle is filled with water, but otherwise, I love this Kettle and would definitely recommend it.

I never was one for an appliance like this but after receiving it and using it, I'm sold. Breakfast is usually quite rushed here and I'd often forget to get my water for tea going and end up not getting a cup because there was too much to do. With this new kettle, if I forget, it's no big deal anymore. It heats the water so quickly that by the time I get a mug and a tea bag ready, the water is ready too. I love that! The only down side is that it only holds a liter of water so I have to heat a couple of pots ( we use BIG mugs here) if someone else wants tea or chocolate. On the other hand, it heats so quickly, it's really not a hardship. I highly recommend this little pot to anyone who is a tea or chocolate or instant soup lover. You'll have your drink really quick-almost as quick as my daughter's coffee maker works. The water is the perfect temperature for tea or any other hot drink made with water. I'm also sold on the convenience and it looks nice with my other small appliances. Now that I have tried this kettle, I'm getting one for my office and I can quit drinking the lousy coffee from a vending machine, which makes me happy.

I received the Hamilton Beach electric kettle to review. The product came in a compact box, not taking up a lot of space. Upon opening the box, the product was nicely packed and thus, no damage was apparent on the product. With the recent news on how “bad” the microwave is for boiling water, I thought I'd give this electric kettle a try! I am glad that I did! Pros: The size of the kettle is easy to handle. When filled with water, it is not too heavy for me to carry (I have weakness on one side of the body so I'm always thinking of things that are easier to handle). The kettle heats up quickly – about 3 minutes to boil for 1.6L of water. There is an automatic shut off switch when the water is ready so no need to worry about over-boiling. Yes, the water is hot enough! The kettle has a mesh filter so you can put loose tea leaves inside and not worry about having leaves in your cup. The handle is cool to touch, even with the boiling water (the kettle itself is hot so watch out!). Overall, the kettle is easy to set up and clean! Cons: The kettle has very little cons. There are two trivial things that bothered me. First of all, the water level window is right behind the handle. Therefore, it's not very easy to see how much water has been filled up unless you stop the running water and hold up the kettle in front of you without holding the handle. The second thing, the opening of the kettle is not very big; especially since the lid cannot be removed. I have very little hands so I can easily put my hand inside to clean it, but if you have medium size hands or larger, I would not recommend trying to stick your hand inside to clean the kettle – use a bottle brush instead. Overall: This kettle is convenient and easy to use! I would definitely recommend it for tea, hot chocolate, drip coffee, and ramen!

The Hamilton Beach kettle is the newest addition to my home office. It's small enough to fit onto a shelf behind me and ready to use when I really need my cup of tea! It's well balanced, has an easy fill flip-lid and you can see how much water to add through a very convenient "window" under the handle. I especially like the upmarket look and feel of it. It gets extra points because it's cordless, has an automatic shut-off switch and a no-drip spout. I've been putting it through it's paces over the last few days and it's been consistent in performance each and every time. The water is hot in 3 minutes, 50 seconds.. yes, I timed it.. and although it only holds 1 liter, it's plenty for a large cup or two or even three!! If you are a traditionalist and don't like the idea of microwaving your water for tea, this kettle is ideal. It will also be easy to pack up and take along on any trip away from home. I plan to use mine when I drive to LA next month. I will definitely be needing my morning cuppa then!! A BIG thumb's up and I would highly recommend it to a friend.

If you are single or have a child about to go to college this is an absolute must have! Even if you are like me and have a family it is still very useful. It heats water in just a few minutes. I timed it, and one liter of slightly cool water takes four minutes and thirty seconds to come to a full boil. Hot tea, cold tea, ramen, cup-o-soup, and oatmeal are just a few things that come to mind that would be perfect to make with this useful little tool. I was planning to use it just for tea, but my teens quickly took it over for snack duty. One note though, it will only boil water, and nothing but water. It says all over the instructions to not place anything but clean water into it. It is very easy to use. Plug it in, fill the kettle with water to the water line, place it on its base, push the button down, wait until the light in the button turns off, and enjoy boiling hot water. The base of the kettle fits up into a small hole in the bottom of the pot so that both sit snugly together, but the pot part can set flat on a cabinet or table without the base. Even after it is just heated the bottom of the pot is cool enough to do this. The sides do get hot so you will need to be careful, especially around small children, not to touch it. The pour spout is wide, which makes it easy to empty quickly into another container. The lid does not come completely off; it is spring hinged, which means you won't have to hunt it down every time you want to use the kettle. The handle is easy to grip and is cool to the touch. I have even picked it up with wet hands (not that I would advise you to do that). When I picked this kettle out, for some reason I thought it was battery powered. This is not the case. It plugs in. Other than that I am surprised at how much I have used it in such a little time.

I really liked this Hamilton Beach 1 L Stainless Steel Electric Kettle. It does just what it claims: "It's faster than a Microwave and Safer than a Stovetop Kettle." It is meant to only be used to heat up water, no other liquids. When it does, it's lightening fast! It has a base that it easily sets onto--nothing to snap into position. What makes it safer than a stovetop kettle is that it will automatically shut off if the water level gets too low (and also once the water is boiling). You can shut it off manually with ease also. My only complaint I have about this Kettle is that it has a strainer that fits just inside the spout. You're supposed to remove it every so often to clean off impurities. While it does have a tab to grasp for this purpose I found it exceedingly difficult to remove the strainer, and once I had removed it, it was as difficult to replace. This might make some consumers a little reluctant to clean it as often as it might need. I know it discourages me. But overall, I'd say yes, by all means DO get this Electric Kettle!

I couldn't wait to use it, as I'm a tea person I pulled it out and the first look of it made my day it's adorable for little family or a single person this is perfect. Boiled water in little time, cordless makes it easy to use and if one can get a home for it makes it a beautiful display kitchen item in ones kitchen. Only one problem it will have your fingerprints on it so one will have to wipe clean outer side of it after every single touch.
