The Jar is heavy when it's empty and filled it is very very heavy. If you have problems with your hands or wrists, be careful. The opening in the lid for adding things, is way too small. So I have to shut the unit down, take the lid off, to add anything. But I prefer the glass to the plastic. The glass doesn't soak in the the strong odors like the plastic one does. Plastic jars scratch easily also.

I love this blender, it makes creamy and delicious smoothies even with frozen solid fruit. At first I thought I received a defective one, as it wouldn't stay blending, but I realized you just have to hold the button for a second longer for it to stay on continuously as opposed to pulsing. Definitely a valued purchase.

great little blender. I ordered this because I needed one that day. Iwas making a dish with sauce that had to be blended for a family holiday meal. Basically I needed a blender with a glass jar that could handle soups, sauces, crush ice etc. this little blender did an amazing job! a lot of power in the motor and didn't seem to struggle at all. now I don't know how long it will last and it isn't a vitamin for sure but I am very very pleased!

Container is glass and it isn't annoyingly loud! def on the quieter side! I purée boiled carrots in here all the time without any issues. I think it's pretty too! The back has a compartment to stuff the unused wire and hide it! I do think the lip on top of the lid is annoying to clean but nothing crazy when I toss it in the dishwasher.

I've been using this for a few months, no problems. It's slightly less noisy than other blenders. I use this mostly for yogurt and frozen fruit blending. The frozen fruit needs to be encouraged by rocking the blender back and forth because it doesn't seem to pull down the frozen pieces readily. Still, it's good value and functional for the lower price point.

You have to move ingredients around in-between blends for a full blend, the seal for the lid is difficult to break and can cause you to mishandle the glass jar if you're not careful. Good grip strength required, so to speak. Overall, I love that you can take the whole jar and blade portion apart for a thorough clean and I like the glass it's thick and durable. I will note, this blender isn't as quiet as it's advertised, it's a blender and it makes noise like one. It's no Ninja, but it works perfect for now.

I was looking for an inexpensive blender to mix smoothies and margaritas. At first I thought these knives would be really small, but this cyclone system is like a tornado that sucks in all the ingredients and mixes everything well. The bowl itself is not too stable

From the start, I liked the fact that the blender jar is made of glass, not plastic. On the other hand, when you pour from it, it dribbles down the side. I would expect something better from Hamilton Beach. Other than that, the quality of this item seems very high. The motor seems powerful and adequate for all tasks. Mainly I'm using it for making my supplemental milkshakes.

I bought this months ago to prepare my smoothies. The container is glass which is one of the reasons why I chose this brand, but for the life of me, I cannot get the lid to stay on. I have made messes in my kitchen because it popped off and slung smoothie stuff everywhere. It wasn't priced bad, but I wouldn't pay half of the sales price for another one.

It does the job but it does struggle to blend some of the tougher fruits I put in here. I don't know if it's user error, I could be putting less liquid than it needs. But I can't complain, it is a very affordable blender that works decently.
