Our last coffee maker didn't brew the coffee hot enough. By the time we added our liquid creamer our coffee was luke warm so we decided to buy another and picked this for its K cup option. We've been wanting to try Cappuccino's etc. It has a "BOLD" option which seems to add about another 10 degrees to get more strength out of the coffee which lets me use about 25% less which is great. And i love the adapter to make it on the k cup side as it's faster for 8-14 oz amounts than the brew side. We've had it for a month now and only problem we've come across is my wife's travel mug won't fit under the pod/cup side. On the plus side we noticed that when our electricity went off and came back on, it kept our program and time settings which i can't understand why as there's not a battery backup as far as we know.
This coffeemaker is everything you could want in a coffeemaker. I first bought the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew 2-Way Coffeemaker model 49983 and the single side that took kcups stopped working after just a few uses. I took a paper clip to it, still would not work. Everything that is wrong with the 49983 had been redesigned into this machine and I love it. It actually does what it is suppose to do! Great tasting coffee, I love it!
I have had this unit for over a month now and it replaced my previous, very basic drip unit. Fits on my counter well-enough. The flexibility of making a pot or just a cup/tumbler's-worth of coffee is great. Easy to program, use, makes a good brew and looks great to boot.
I did have problems replacing my coffee pot. on my old coffee pot. so I bought this one. I really like it.
After using it for a week, a good product with good features. One comment: It retains your pre programmed time, but one needs to push the program button every time to engage that feature. Product packaging was excellent, brews well.
the use of the postal service for delivery was awful. It took 3.5 weeks to get here to my home. The item was all over the country and many delivery delays. It wasn't because of Christmas delivery delays either. If I buy something from you again, please do not use the postal service to deliver it. I know you have a contract with them but it is affecting my opinion of Wal-Mart. I was a couple of days from cancelling my order and purchasing it somewhere else when it finally showed up. I have a bad opinion of Wal-mart now because of the delays in receiving this item.
Very well designed. Like the wonderful options of K-pods, versus your own ground coffee for the individual cups. Gives you more options when deciding to make a cup of coffee.
This coffee maker isn't bad and does what it's supposed to. I feel that this product would be better if there was one reservoir that fed both the carafe and the side for the singles, rather than having a reservoir for each. I am disappointed in the length of the power cord. 2 ft (60 cm) is not very long, and almost forces the purchaser to use an extension cord, which can be dangerous. It would also be nice to have the ability to make a single cup while the carafe side is waiting for the time to be reached when the timer option is engaged. Currently the timer has to be disengaged, the single cup made, then the timer re-engaged.
Machine was it difficult to operate and coffee tasted very bitter. I tried multiple brands of coffee and it always had a bitter taste. Would not recommend this product.
I bought this coffee maker in April of 2019. I absolutely loved it! But now, after 15 months, when I pour the water in the reservoir and press brew all the water leaks out of the bottom of the coffee maker. Out of the seams and screw holes. There is hot water all over the counter. I am thankful that nothing on my counter was damaged or that there wasn't some kind of electrical damage. And of course this happens right after the one year warranty expires. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I hope this doesn't happen to others. Currently searching for a new coffee maker with similar features.
