The Basket is the coolest feature of this Fry Daddy! I never knew I needed this but now I will not use one without it! This oil heats quickly and the temperature control is easy to use. Very clear setting. i love the PUSH labels. It is EASY! I highly recommend this product!

I spent quite some time looking for a deep fryer and I eventually turned to YouTube for some reviews. This particular fryer kept coming up. This IS the fryer! It's amazing. Super easy to put together and it's just me so it's perfect. Honestly, it's perfect for a household of 2. That being said, when I do have company this summer, that won't deter me from using it. Cook times are quick and I really like the round basket. Makes pouring out the food so much easier. I have been in restaurant for over 20 years and this one fries like a champ. Only thing is that you have to watch the timing of the food as this does not have a timer. Other than that, highly recommend!

I had one of these fryers for at least 10 years or more. I use it about 4 times a month. But it had gotten so greasy and beyond cleaning and for only $30.00 I decided it was time to buy a new one. I wanted one just like I had because I was so happy with it. Our Walmart didn't carry it but was able to order it online. Had some hiccups getting it here but as soon as it did had the family together for shrimp and fried okra, a family favorite. This fryer has different temperatures for what your frying. Easy to use, with great results. Love mine! Forgot one feature I really like. You can fill the basket with your food and then just press the lever and it goes down into the oil. Safe to use and you don't have to keep taking the basket out to fill. Watch that lid when you open it it has a good spring on it and it really springs open. This is a good size too. Big enough to cook for a family but not so big you wonder where your going to store it.

O gave this gift to my mom for a birthday present. SHE LOVES IT!!! The chicken tasted better. It is neat to have a charcoal filter which controlled the amount of smoke in the air. I am allergic to smoke and I was sitting very close to the "daddy" and was not affected due to the filter. It is neat to view the food frying without having to have the lid up. It is also very quite as it fries. This is a great product.

I have wanted one of these for awhile & I looked at several different models online. I love the size of this model & how it closes tightly & I can store the oil to use again the next day! The handle & basket is very safe & holds a lot at one time! I use it to make homemade hot wings! I wash/dry the wing drummets, place in the basket, fry until the flip over & are golden brown, only takes a few minutes, then let the basket rest on its ledge to drain, use tongs to take wings out, place on paper plates with paper towels, then place the fried wings into a soup pot with your favorite wing hot sauce!

I needed a new deep fryer so after plenty of research I chose this one as it said it was cool to the touch. It's not. The outside of the fryer gets hot on all sides and on the lid. My old fryer, which was a different brand, was a cool to the touch fryer and if I needed to slightly move it after I was done cooking, I could slide it without burning my hands. This one is just too hot. Another con to this unit is the plastic that it is made of feels kind of cheap but the unit is light weight. It also does not have a timer so I use my stove timer to time my foods. The pros of this unit are that it has temperature settings that I can adjust for different foods. It DOES indicate when the oil is hot with the red light on the front. The light will go off when it's ready and comes back on when it is heating back up. It comes with a removable basket, removable oil pan, a filter for the lid and a magnetic cord as well as owners manual. The basket can be lowered into the pan of oil or it can sit up above the oil. You simply depress a button on the handle to lower it down. You have to make sure the handle is inside the "track" in order to use this function. The unit is light weight without the oil and the design is nice. It's a lot smaller than my last one. It does cook the food well so I gave it three stars. I wish it really was cool to the touch as it stated but it isn't so if that is something you are adamant about, this fryer isn't what you want.

The fryer fries well but there is no indicator to tell you when the oil is hot enough nor an indicator to tell you when your fries are done. You are guessing. In addition, there is a lot of stream coming from the vents at the top of the fryer during cooking that could be a problem for upper cabinets if used on counters but where else would you set it up?

As soon as we opened the fryer it wouldnt close all the way. We then used it and when we took it apart to clean the lid still doesn't close witch is not what I would expect since the price is high. Stay away from this crap.

We would not recommend this deep fryer. It takes a long time to heat up and takes 2-3 times longer to cook than our previous deep fryer. The basket does not operate smoothly, can in fact be very difficult to operate at times. I can't remember if this one advertised low odor or not, but it does let out quite a lot of odor. I chose this model based on good reviews, but our experiences have been the opposite.
