I have bought a lot of HART products over the last 6 months and each time I am impressed. I specifically bought the 20Vcircular saw because I love the drill / driver / sawzall / flashlight combo I recently bought.

HART 20V Saw - Battery and Charger Sold Separately

Lucy April 15, 2020

When you receive your saw you will have a few assembly steps. 1. You will attach the vacuum attachment (for dust collection while using the saw in doors) 1. You will attach the blade (which is covered with a rubber gasket that needs to be removed). The manual has lots of information and instructions. The only confusing part I found is that the pictures are in the back and you have to flip pages back and forth if you want to see the diagram. The saw weighs 5 pounds 2 ounces (without the battery attached), which in my opinion is not overly heavy for a power tool. There is a blade guard which protects you from the sharp blade. There is a nice safety feature that you have to press the lock-off button before you can push the trigger to activate the blade. You can adjust the blade depth and angle of your cut (bevel cuts) for various types of jobs. There is a width of cut guide to help you make straight cuts. We used the saw for a project last week and it worked great. Since we worked outside we did not use the vacuum attachment, but I can see how that would be helpful. Running the saw for a little over an hour (on and off) we didn’t see any power loss worked great from first cut to last cut. Note: You will need to purchase the Battery and Battery Charger separately.

Powerful - Lightweight - Easy to use.

Jwright November 7, 2025

Only used it a couple of days so far. What I like about it is the motor is much more powerful than the cordless saw I bought from Lowes Cobalt six years ago. I have yet to stall this saw cutting pine 2x4s. For a homeowner, it’s a perfectly good saw. I am using the larger batteries.

Powerful Power Saw

cactusbob April 13, 2020

This saw has just as much power as a saw plugged into a wall or extension cord. Used it on one 1X6 1/2 in board and it cut through like butter. Wa impressed. Very good feel in the hands for control while using. Has all the bells and whistles you need like blade guard, trigger guard, and adjusting for height and angle. Great design and I even like the colors. The battery snaps on and off very easily, and button on the battery tells you how much charge is there. Great circular saw and 20 V gives it plenty of power. The carbon blade that comes with it is easy to install and very sharp. Includes the tool to remove and install. It includes a vacuum tool to snap on the saw and connect to a vacuum hose and collect dust.

Works Really Great!

The HART 20-Volt Cordless 6 1/2-inch Circular Saw is great to have in the home for jobs ranging from the simplest to the most difficult for your DIY projects. The motor in this saw is super powerful at 4700 RPM’s. The precision of the saw makes cuts easily and super quick. There is a vacuum attachment that makes cleanup a cinch. The HART 20-Volt Cordless 6 1/2-inch Circular Saw operates with the universal Hart 20V battery that is sold separately.

Good luck finding a battery and charger. Once you add that on, you could've got a more notable one that's easier to get replacement parts

Disappointed

MommaT211 May 2, 2026

Did not realize it didn't include a battery. That was fine, I thought surely since I had a leaf blower and a weedeater that it was a compatible fit or size wrong. The charger won’t even work on a new battery to buy for the saw so I’m required to buy both the charger and the battery separate from the saw again Fine ...except ordering a seperate battery with a compatible charger at a price less than the saw itself was challenging in fact, not possible. Why would I pay more for a battery and a charger than I did the saw itself when I could buy all three included at a cheaper price that to me is just ridiculous.

90 days broke, repair center won't replace it!

Timothy May 13, 2021

Worked well for about 90 days then the trouble begins! According to the warranty you have to take it to a repair center (40min away). The 1st repair center is a small engine (gas/diesel) repair place that knows nothing out electric/cordless tools. After holding it for almost 4 weeks, he tested it and said that this happens with cordless saws "It's WalMart". I only get about 6-8" into a 1/2in pallet board before it cuts off. I told to pick it up and it works fine. I tried to argue and I was told that I can just pick it up. btw 20v 4mah battery. The help line techs said it needs to be exchanged, the repair center didn't agree and told me to pick it up. The phone help then told me to take it to another repair center (35min away) and when I showed up they said they won't touch Hart brand. They told Hart that months ago and to remove them from the list of repair centers. Apparently Hart doesn't listen to even their repair centers! I watched the YouTube reviews before investing about $650 into this brand and now I fully regret it! On the plus side everything else has worked so far, I'm just in fear when the next tool breaks. I own and operate an 8 acre homestead/small farm and need reliable tools with reliable warranties. I have built 8 animal shelters, assembled a greenhouse, and am in the process of building a very large chicken coop, as well as have done many other small projects! I was going to make a video about how great these tools have been. I cannot do that in good conscience. The YouTube reviews showed one couple that had a bad orbital sander and Hart sent them one right out! I can't even get the help line to call my local Walmart to talk to a manager and tell him to exchange it. I've spent enough gas and time on this one circular saw to buy another. If this has happened to me, I figured it's going to happen to the next consumer and I wanted to warn you! The YouTube videos and people that are given the tools and don't actually have their hard earned money into them! Feel free to contact me Hart and make it right! I'll update this if they do!
