I was honestly super nervous about buying this because I've never owned a lawn mower let alone mowed grass lol. I've either lived in apartments or my parents/bf did it over the years. I didn't want a gas mower because I didn't wanna deal with refilling it and having an electric mower seems easier because you just charge the battery and it's good to go. Just store it safely and clean out the bag when it's full. Simple right? Right! I have had absolutely no issues so far!! It was easy to put together, charges overnight and is ready to go by morning, it's not super hard to push, it takes very little effort and I love the different settings! I bought an extra key for it on Amazon as a backup since the key is small and I'm scared I'll lose it or my cats will hide it lol but I'm actually really happy with this!!! I just rented a house with a big yard and one charge mowed the whole front yard, back yard and the yard around the outside of me fence. I'm so happy with this! And it's PRETTY. It was the closest thing I could find to a white lawn mower and it's honestly so nice. I highly recommend it! I now enjoy mowing my grass haha JUST PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BATTERY PLUGGED IN TO CHARGE IF YOU ARE NOT HOME! IT IS NOT SAFE!!! FOR ANY BRAND, ANY BATTERY!!! Unplug it once it's done charging and you'll be fine. But if you don't unplug it, these batteries can burn down your whole house. I LOVE this electrical lawn mower and I will continue to buy this brand. Give it a try! It's nice and easy (: once I figure out how to add my photos I'll upload some! Before and afters too!!
This product is great for the cost, easy to store as it folds to a smaller size for storage in a smaller shed. Cutting adjustment is perfect to get the job done. Very reliable, and the power level is great. I can get a great majority of my yard done in the use of the battery provided. Charging of the battery is easy and quick. I would recommend it to others.
I absolutely LOVE my Hart 40-Volt 20-in Brushless Push Mower. It provides an awesome cut that is so clean that my yard looks like carpet when I'm done mowing (a nice and even cut over my entire yard). This mower is easy to set up and collapse for storage! This mower provides plenty of battery charge time (40 minutes), it is a low noise mower which I also love and it's easy to maneuver! I would definitely buy the Hart brand again! Thank you Hart, well done!🙂
From a Joke to a Believer I'll be honest — when I first bought this HART mower, it was kind of a joke. I didn't expect much. I figured it would get me by until I bought something “serious.” But let me tell you, I was wrong. Dead wrong. This machine has turned me into a believer. It cuts clean, runs strong, and has flat-out surprised me with how much work it can handle. If you want to really unlock her potential, do yourself a favor and invest in two 6.0Ah batteries. That's the sweet spot — plenty of runtime, plenty of power, no stalling out on you halfway through the job. Another thing I love? She doesn't tear up the yard when it's damp. I've run plenty of mowers in wet grass, and most of them leave ruts, clumps, and a mess to clean up after. Not this one. She glides over the yard, gets the job done, and keeps the turf looking clean. Bottom line — I went in laughing, but I came out impressed. This mower is the real deal, and I'm proud to say I'm a HART believer now.
This mower is wonderful. Works as expected. Excellent value for the money. If your yard is big you will have to mow off multiple charges but it works great is easy to push and maintain. For the money and value extras mows aren't a terrible trade off.
The fact that I have had to deal with batter/charger issues since receiving this item, has sort of soured me on any possibility of recommendation to *any* one. I received the lawnmower on a Friday, tried to charge the battery same-day, turned out the charger was broken. Called customer service (that's pretty good actually, you get a person immediately after going through the automated service) about it, and they sent me a new one. That took 8 more days of waiting. Turns out, not only was the charger defective, but the battery too was in an ERROR state, so it was not charging. Was told by customer service agent it needs 6 - 7 hours charge time. So, I waited 9 hours, still no charge. I already knew it wasn't going to charge, I tried any way! But - on all literature and advertisements it claims it's only 1 HOUR CHARGE TIME! I'm on day 3 (7-14 days turn around I was told) of waiting for the new battery to arrive. I tried telling the service agent that the battery was not acting like it should, but I was dismissed. I'm sort of done with messing around with this thing. I hope that once I finally get ALL things in working order, I'm going to be over the moon with how well it performs. Oy vey. What a pain. I would happily give a review on all of the suggested ideas, but apparently I cannot for obvious reasons.
Bought this to be environmental, friendly and to get rid of our gas guzzler that we had in the garage because I'm the one who mows the yard while my husband works night shifts. I started up today and I was only able to make it halfway through the yard because it was so heavy and did not pull and this is the first time I've used it. He cut the grass, but it kept leaving pieces. it did not cut all of the grass and I struggled with it and I was hoping that paying $300 for a lawnmower. I wouldn't have to struggle that much.
It does not cut evenly. It is easier and quieter than a gas lawn mower. The battery life is not good. It lasts about a half hour and I don't have a large yard. I was mowing my front lawn and after 20 minutes it stopped working. I thought it was the battery but when I went to charge it had 2 bars so it should have worked. I don't want to have to charge the battery several times to get my back lawn done. With my gas mower it would not have been an issue.
This is the 3rd Hart lawnmower I have purchased in 3 years. They end up breaking after a year and the batteries last maybe 2 years if that. The only reason I purchased a 3rd time was because I had extra batteries. When the other 2 broke, they said to take them to a Hart certified repair place. The wait was 4 months to have them even look at it. Hart needs to do better!
I'll come back and edit my rating once I take this thing put everything back in the box. Pick this heavy box up put it back in my truck drive back to the store. Return it get another heavy box and drive that back all because either the manufacturer couldn't be bothered to put a battery in or Walmart accepted a return with no battery..
