I have two senior shelter, dogs and one new young rat terrier mix shelter dog. With this being said you never know what their backgrounds are. The rat terrier can jump over 5 feet and be sort of destructive. In order to keep her busy this has saved quite a few stuffed animals. She is very food motivated and will do her best to get the good stuff in the middle.
The 3 teethers were well packaged and really smell like bacon. My puppy is VERY happy right now.
Lasted for a long while, keeps the pup happy
Our miniature schnauzer loves things to chew on and this product is his favorite. It lasts a long time. He really likes them. Even after they've been chewed for weeks, he'll keep on chewing them. The 3 pack is the best price I have found on these.
Our dogs love the treat flavor and chew for a long time to get it out. Great for rainy days when they can't go out.
my dogs love these
dog baby loves these!
My small dogs LOVE these chews! They are entertained for the evening when they have one. My one complaint is that the PACKAGING. is next to impossible to open. I sometimes pass by purchasing due to the difficulty of opening. I've even managed to cut myself on the heavy plastic:(. Please make the packaging more user-friendly.
A few weeks back I noticed my dog had something in his mouth and got him to let me have it. It was the crown of a tooth. I took him to the vet, where within a week he was put under anesthesia to extract the rest of the tooth that was broken down to the root. While under, the vet took x-rays and found he had another broken tooth just like it and three others under his gum that had broken and his gum grew over them! That's when the vet stopped, as it was more than she could take on. So, she put us in touch with a top animal oral surgeon, who we saw today (August 8, 2025). We were told it was the hard chew toys that did this. And these Hartz Chew toys are what our dog chewed on, daily! We had NO idea he was breaking teeth, till the fifth one! He will now have to go under again and have all five removed! By the time we are done, we will have spent almost $500 at the first office and almost $2,000 at the specialist! But the worst is what my little dog, Coti, has had to go through and will still have to go through to get these teeth (the roots that are left) pulled out of his mouth! The makers of these chew toys should be ashamed of themselves! Apparently this is NOT an uncommon thing and many pet-owners have no idea until suddenly their pet has an infection and an even worse situation that our little dog has! Shame on Hartz!
First off, my dog loves this thing! He is a heavy chewer, and it really helps keep his attention off my things. BUT Several months ago, I bought a MEDIUM Hartz Chew 'n Clean at Walmart for $5.27. I found this 3 pk Medium and thought what a great deal $14.31 = $4.77 each. I get it delivered, and they are nowhere near the same size! I'm scared my dog will choke on one of these! The package still CLAIMS their medium. You're better off buying the single medium, it's much larger.
