Great for campers or RV but would not recommend for everyday use . Quick ice time but limited ice making capacity. But for privacies cannot complain if you are looking for a ice machine for 1 to 4 then it's pay but if you need ice for gathering over 3 people you are going to be disappointed but for small every or camper this little thing is a gem
Great little machine. Purchased for my elderly parents who were afraid to hook up a water line to their fridge bc of losses in the past. They were carrying stacks of trays back and forth to the freezer. This has helped them a ton and dad likes the nugget ice.
I searched quite a long time for a ice maker that I could afford, and I found this one. We want smaller and softer ice than regular cubes. We really like it. I would recommend if you need extra ice or help with ice at a party , this ice maker is perfect for you!
I just started using my AGLUCKY Nugget Ice Maker yesterday. And I LOVE it! It's easy to use. I fill up the reservoir with fresh filtered cold water. Tap water works fine, too. The nugget ice is my favorite kind. It reminds me of Sonic ice. It works great with my soft drinks, iced tea, and iced coffee. It seems more flavorful than other kinds of ice. I keep my ice maker going for a while and I bag ice, for myself and others. The nugget ice is a treat. There aren't many places around my community to buy bagged crushed or nugget ice, so I'm pleased to have it any time I want it now. I also like that my ice maker is compact with a small footprint on a countertop. I'm going to take it when I travel in my RV, along with my portable water filter. So, I'll always have fresh, good tasting nugget ice. I've had a portable bullet ice maker for years. It was cheaper to purchase than a nugget one. But I'm pleased to now have an endless supply of my favorite crushed or nugget ice.
This is a good ice maker but it is louder than I thought it would be. I guess I should have known it would make noise but I didn't think about it and I did not read any comments saying it made noise when making the ice. The ice is good and I would recommend it as long as you are okay with the noise that it makes.
TIP: The instructions don't include that before making the ice the initial time you will have to run a cleaning cycle or else the “add water” light will continue to come on. Aside from that my only complaint so far (only been about 2 weeks) is that I have to move the ice over for it to continue to make ice and fill the basket because the ice blocks the slot where it comes from. Hoping this one doesn't mess up like the GE Opal did.
The device itself was great for nearly 6 months to the day, before something kicked in to cause it to make an awful, loud sound while on. Still made ice, but the horrendous noise made it unusable. I ended up buying a replacement out of pocket because I had no luck getting through to the manufacturer to discuss the 12mo warranty they provide. Do not waste your money buying the extended warranty Walmart offers either, because that does not take effect until the manufacturer's warranty expires. When it's all said and done, over a 6mo period it cost a little over $1/day for soft, chewable, nugget ice ( that is actually better than sonic, in my opinion) so to me it was worth it, just set your expectations according.
My wife and I love this ice maker! It's quick, and until recently it was very quiet. For the past few weeks, the ice maker is incredibly loud while running. I took it apart and looked around and it seems like the issue is with the Hicon AC motor (hicon RY-CJY-616330-0006a). As soon as it starts up, it sounds like something inside it is not moving or something. You can't have a conversation next to it while it's running, and the noise it makes sounds like a belt sander and an angle grinder fighting. Other than that, it makes ice just fine!
In my opinion…. Negatives: 1) Makes ice pellets very slowly, took 45 minutes to fill small ice tray provided. 2) Quite noisy during operation. 3) wrong color was sent to us Positives: 1) Arrived on time, fast 2-day delivery. 2) we liked the smaller size unit, very appropriate for countertops. 3) the tiny ice pellets are cute (just like Sonic ice!) but tend to freeze in clumps when stored in freezer. The pellets begin to melt in tray before its full and ready to pour into gallon zip bags to store in freezer. 4) Would be ultra convenient to have, saves making trips to Sonic every few days, but ….. the unit is way too noisy during operation to have in the kitchen and takes long time.
I wanted to love it. Especially since it was only 188.00. The ice starts out slushy but gets better after a couple of cycles, and I was fine with that. It just made the ice way too slow. It took like 30 min to fill the ice bucket. I tried just to see how long it would take. I know these dont keep ice frozen because it is not a freezer. The ice is already melting when it comes out the machine and into the basket. If you try to freeze some it all just clumps together into one block and even an ice pick doesnt help. Sadly, I had to return.
