This brand is my favorite to use for my shrimp cocktail, I like to dip the shrimp into this tangy, slightly spicy sauce. It has the perfect flavor of smooth, tang and spice in one sauce. Highly recommend it is far better than any other brand on the market.
The Best Classic Cocktail Sauce! Heinz Original Cocktail Sauce is hands down the absolute best choice whenever you are serving seafood. It has the perfect, robust flavor profile that hits all the right notes, making it a permanent staple in my refrigerator. The balance of ingredients is completely spot on. It provides a wonderful, savory base that acts as the perfect dip for chilled shrimp, crab legs, or fried seafood baskets. What really sets it apart is the perfect amount of horseradish mixed in—it gives the sauce a phenomenal spicy kick without completely overpowering the delicate flavor of the seafood. It is crisp, tangy, and incredibly refreshing. Whether you are hosting a large family gathering or just enjoying a quick seafood snack at home, this 12 oz bottle delivers a high-quality, delicious taste every single time. I highly recommend it!
avocado go with mostly everything that we eat we make tortillas and that goes with everything mostly as well the avocado with the lettuce salad on the side My babies love their treats bone treats We have never made pizza home made pizza before and when we tried this, it was delicious. Thank you.
I haven't bought cocktail sauce in awhile in the store, when I was on adkins diet i made my own with ketchup and horseradish sauce. Didn't have the stuff at home this time so tried out this one I usually like heinz products so I expected it to be good and it is. I've had some pretty nasty tasting cocktail sauces in the past but that was not this one for sure. I'd buy this again you can taste the medium spicy horseradish in it and the other spices just make it better. Apparently this doesn't need refrigeration after opening.
I usually buy Island Market but tried this instead. I'm pleased and would buy again. It's a tad bit sweeter than I'm used to but not offputting. It's a nice thick sauce with very little, if any, "kick". It's on the sweeter, more like ketchup side.
This is a solid cocktail sauce for the price and works well for quick seafood meals or dipping sauces at home. I like keeping a bottle in the fridge because it's easy to use with shrimp, fish, or even mixed into seafood-style salads. The flavor is good overall and has a nice smooth texture. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I personally wish it was a little more tangy with less sweetness/sugar flavor. I tend to prefer a stronger horseradish kick. That said, it's still a great value for the price and an easy pantry staple to have available for seafood nights.
Heinz is a good cocktail sauce, although my favorite sauce is either Bookbinder's or Old Bay. Both are not available at Walmart. Heinz is spicy and compliments seafood just fine. I purchase this when I cannot wait for shipping of our favorites. Cannot go wrong with this sauce. I recommend it.
I buy this regularly for dipping shrimp, but this bottle is a much thicker consistency and not possible to shake. It is also darker. The flavor tastes ok not overly spicy and good tomato flavor, but not what I am used to otherwise. I hope the next bottle will be normal.
I made the mistake of trusting this to be a good product because it's Heinz. This is the very first of their products that I have found that should be discontinued. Having only this cocktail sauce on hand, my guests and I finished our thawed shrimp with NO cocktail sauce since this product is beyond ketchup-forward with barely a taste of horseradish. Not a single one of 8 people liked it at all. I'm confident you'll also be disappointed if you purchase this. If you try it, I sincerely recommend you have a backup for sauce to enjoy with your shrimp. I grew up with Heinz and have friends from childhood who work for Heinz; I mention this because it's a great company and it pains me to dislike anything that they make. Unfortunately, it's worse than bad.
Just returned from pickup at Arden, NC Supercenter. Plastic was still on lid, but looks like the lid had been twisted opened and sauce had leaked. Pictures show that it had to have been opened sometime ago because the outside dried sticky sauce. Incl pics. The person picking the items had to have noticed this.
