So They call this stuff "extra heavy", because it's the Hellman's recipe They used WAY back in 1985, before pencil pushing bureaucrats RUINED the brand by cutting costs, %26 making it "less heavy"... if You're gonna throw a Superbowl party, barbeque, or any other kind'a shindig, %26 You want people to say:" Hey (Your' name), these burgers/hotdogs/potatoes salad is/are the BEST I've ever had! Than THIS is what You want/need.
I read an article about using 'extra heavy' mayonnaise (which I never knew even EXISTED!), and bought this big jar...WELL!! Am I ever excited!! You can FRY EGGS in it, make dips and salad dressings in a snap (which I DID, and they are DELICIOUS!!), use heavy mayo to replace sour cream or butter in recipes...my turkey will have an Extra Heavy Mayo basting, I look forward to my BEST TURKEY EVER!!
If you enjoy a Rich tasting mayonnaise or what it used to taste like Hellmanns extra heavy mayonnaise has extra egg yolk, this is what creates rich flavors in recipes sandwiches, salad dressing, and so much more The only difference Hellmanns West of the Rocky Mountains. is sold as Best Food mayonnaise. Made with 100% certified cage, free eggs, oil and vinegar kosher salt, sugar, lemon, and natural flavors. It is America's number one mayonnaise since I was a little girl to this day. The only mayonnaise I will ever use in the flavor quality of has not been changed.
Great value for the money and I love this brand. I purchased this mayonnaise long before finding this size. I’m simply overwhelmed to have the company offer a better price and quantity with the way prices are getting worse for food. I appreciate them more.
I highly recommend this mayonnaise, especially for summer salads like potato, macaroni etc.. it's perfect for that. It is restaurant quality mayo. It's creamy and heavy enough that it coats everything well and it makes everything tastes better. I can't imagine my salads without it.
this mayonnaise is absolutely delicious. it's a shame I have to get it in large quantity; however, I put it in quart jars, vacuum seal them and keep them in the refrigerator. It lasts until we're ready to use it.
I’ve been in the food industry for over 40 years of my life. Anybody who knows meetings knows quality this is the original recipe of what best foods used to taste like everything else on the market is not as good as this product.
the shipping was non existent,,, just throwing them in a box with no packaging to ease the shipping process,,, all containers were bent and one was cracked
I love Hellmann's Mayonaise and have been using it for years. Recently I noticed the squeeze bottle seemed to be different and decided I would give it a try. It is so hard to extract any mayo from it, I am kicking myself for buying it. It looks like what lands on the bottom stays on the bottom. I will stick to the regular bottle from now on~
Just got my 3 gallons of mayonnaise and they expire in 2.5 months! Are you kidding me Walmart? Why are you selling old product???
