We just discovered Herdez salsas. This salsa is medium and chunky. It's thicker than their salsa casavera line, but equally delicious. We have purchased this brand four more times since we purchased the first one a few months ago. It's much better than tostitos in my opinion. We've tried medium and it is not too spicy / hot. We are looking forward to trying the hot variety.
Great salsa for the value. It has a nice texture without being thick or to watery like many other brands. I very much enjoyed the garden fresh flavor and just the right anount of spice. It's truly a medium salsa you know the heat is there but if upu like spicy you will definitely want more. The price point is also fantastic!
I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty Herdez Chunky medium salsa was. Definitely tasted each ingredient; tomatoes, peppers, onions %26 spices. Loved that it was chunky and not runny. Stayed on my tortilla chip. Good flavors%26 great taste. Definitely two thumbs up!
I used this salsa with a lime flavored brand of tortilla chips. It was just the right blend of flavors. The salsa was just the right blend of not too mild and not too hot. I could taste the freshness of the ingredients. I would prefer this brand over other salsa brands that I normally purchase.
I use this with Tostitos chip. It pairs well and tastes good. Texture includes some chunky salsa. Compared with Tostitos salsa, it tastes differently. I feel Herdez tastes more like the one in Mexican restaurant. I got medium and not spicy. I would continue to buy this product when I need salsa.
Herdez Chunky Medium Salsa has quickly become one of my favorite store-bought salsas. It has a fresh tomato flavor with plenty of chunks of tomatoes, onions, and peppers, so it tastes much closer to homemade than many other jarred salsas. The medium heat is just right—enough of a kick to keep it flavorful without overpowering the other ingredients. The consistency is another standout. It's thick enough to stay on a tortilla chip instead of dripping everywhere, making it perfect for snacking. It's also great on tacos, nachos, burritos, eggs, or mixed into recipes. If you're looking for an affordable, flavorful salsa with fresh-tasting ingredients and just the right amount of spice, I highly recommend giving Herdez Chunky Medium Salsa a try. It's become a staple in my kitchen.
This Herdez salsa is thick and chunky just the way I like it! I don't like salsa that's thin and runny. The thickness also makes it easier for dipping and keeping it on the chip It is colorful so you can tell there are a variety of different ingredients. We purchased the medium and it has plenty of spice or hot flavor. That is subjective though. What I consider medium someone else may consider mild. The salsa could be used in a variety of different ways besides just chip dip. I also used it on salads as a dressing, on tacos and on steamed vegetables or potatoes. Good addition to our fridge!
I've eaten the regular Herdez salsa for years, so I was excited to try the Chunky Salsa. It has the same fresh, authentic flavor I've always loved, but with a heartier texture that makes it even better for chips and tacos. It's become my new favorite, and I'll definitely be buying it again, and I would absolutely recommend it to my friends and family. I received this product for free from Herdez through BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review.
I love a good salsa. Very disappointed in the flavor of the Hernandez brand. I purchased the medium because our Walmart didn't have the hot. It tasted like someone took a can of tomatoes and dumped it in to a food processor for a minute and jarred it. Will not purchase again.
I normally love Herdez Salsa Casera, so I was eager to try the chunky. What a disappointment. It didn't taste fresh, barely tasted like tomato, and was strangely sweet. Worst of all, there was some kibd of clear, gelatinous slime throughout. It was so off-putting that I checked and rechecked the expiration date. But nope--brand new, freshly opened, in date jar. I've never had a glue-y, slimy salsa before, but this was awful. So I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but it went straight in the trash.
