I purchased this item to keep cats from getting into bird's nests in our trees. This item worked so well, I want to buy more. This is a fantastic product!

Of all things needed for, I was having problems with baby and strong adult armadillos digging under my fence gate door and getting into/tearing my yard apart. Also, my dogs trying to dig out. My poultry fence was not working because they'd bend it or use claws to stretch/cut through it. Also, my riding lawnmower kept getting caught up in it. i bought a roll of this, cut lengthwise in half, and then ziptied it onto the bottom of my gate (when to the ground width wise). had spikes facing outward on each side (one side to stop critters from getting in and to prevent my dogs from getting/digging out. It works absolutely perfectly and could not be more pleased. Also holds up great to when having to open/close gate with it on its bottom - extremely durable. Highley recommend!

Very easy to install and customize shape to fit my space. Extremely effective in preventing neighborhood cats from using my mulch bed as a litter box! A great and cost effective solution . Plus blends in nicely with black rubber mulch to be hardly noticeable.

Ok for smaller smart animals but not so for our pit bull when fireworks go off doesn't matter if it hurts paws quickly walks on them! But works second time around! He thought twice and decided to stay away! I forgot to warn Grandson and he accidentally walked on it and was not happy with me!

These are soft, molded-plastic spikes ( reminiscent of the plastic used in miniature figures or modeling/crafts ). Easy to cut with a pair of scissors. The rows are spaced a 1/2" apart, which makes measuring quite trivial, too. The spikes are not overly sharp, but would seem to be uncomfortable to walk on. They'd probably work best with animals that have soft/sensitive paws -- like cats and racoons. And having them in a roll, rather than in individual pieces, let's you size them to fit your particular needs. That's my take. As examples: For us, we have a 9-week old kitten who kept climbing into the reclining chairs without us knowing it. ( And scaring us to death! ) Cutting and attaching pieces around and under the chairs has kept him out completely (!) We've also cut strips and tied them to cardboard or affixed to wood, and used them to keep him out of other restricted areas: like from behind the refrigerator or out of certain rooms. As medieval as they may look, they have helped keep our kitty safe :-D

I really like this cat scat mat, my neighbors cat continue to mark his territory in my garden, in after I put the scat mat down I haven't had any problems….I love this mat, matter fact I'm gonna buy anothher one.

You get a lot of spikes for your money and I like how easy it is to cut apart however, my kittens still walked on it, although it was slowly and cautiously, they were still able to get to my bread tucked away on the counter and eat it :( I am hopeful as they get older and heavier, the added weight on the spikes will be uncomfortable enough to not walk on them.

it was not complete - thr pegs were missing. in fact the number of pegs mentioned was 12. That would not be emough for what they need to do.
