This very handy. It magnetizes to the top surface of the inside. All you have to do is pull it down to fit over the dish. After heating the dish just pull it back up and it sticks there until you need it again. Out of the way, don't need to store it anywhere, it self stores in the microwave!

wider than our previous one. fits fully around 10 inch plate instead of on top of edge. also the magnet function is great for moving it out of the way so you can use both hands on the plate or bowl without having to remove the cover from the microwave, remove the bowl or plate, then place the cover back in the microwave

i originally got one of these as a Xmas present from my daughter and i have LOVED it! it protects beautifully, washes up easily and has never given me any trouble. ive also bought them for friends! it out performs all others! I'm replacing because my other one was left too near my stove when cooking and it got melted on one side. only took Walmart 1 day to get the new one to me!!

It fits great over my dinner plates to stop splatter but has opening on bottom sides to allow steam to escape. I am very pleased with the purchase and saves on my paper towel use. Conveniently holds to top of microwave with magnets and allows for ready availability and storage.

The actual microwave cover is a good idea, in theory. The product, itself , is good quality and works well if you have a metal ceiling in your microwave. However, it truly only works best if you leave it attached to the ceiling, and continue to cover your food product in the microwave oven with something like a paper towel , because it does not protect your side walls. It will help keep your microwave oven ceiling cleaner than if you didn't have it as additional splatter backup. It is dishwasher safe.

*February 12, 2026 Had made the decision in purchasing this HomeCraft 12 In Microwave Plate Cover, considering I had thought my family and I were in need of a new microwave plate cover for the microwave. Supposedly, after receiving this package in the mail, this microwave cover ended up not fitting our microwave properly, (I would believe, because we happen to own a small microwave...). I honestly should have looked again in seeing if Walmart happened to sell small microwave covers but, I of course didn't fully read through the product listing's description...I would suggest, that yes, you can purchase this microwave cover but, be sure that it is within small dimensions/measurements, (if you happen to own a small microwave).

This worked perfect in my Kenmore microwave, but I was getting it replaced with a Chefman and it will not fit up inside of it so basically I have no use for it anymore. They're both the same size .9 ft.³. The only problem is the top of the microwave. The round area is not as big on that. CHEFMAN that's my own complaint, but I can't use it anymore and I just bought it so I'll probably end up giving it to somebody.

We purchased the HomeCraft 12-inch Microwave Plate Cover Shield with Magnets, and here's what I can say about it - it does a good job protecting the microwave from splattering, but the magnetic attachment to the interior ceiling is unreliable. The magnetic feature was the main reason we chose this specific model, so this was disappointing. Pros: Convenient size that accommodates large plates Effective splash protection Cons: Poor magnetic grip - doesn't attach securely on the first try Risk of falling at inconvenient moments during heating Who this product is suitable for: Best for those who want to keep their microwave clean long-term and don't mind occasionally readjusting the cover during use.

Everything about this cover is great EXCEPT one thing. There are two small pieces of metal or foil under the label. As everyone knows, or should know, metal and microwaves don't play well together. We had the cover magnetically connected to the top of the microwave while thawing a small piece of meet for 30 seconds and it caught the label and cover on fire. No bueno!! Thankfully no damage was done to the microwave because of the short time. They need to either get rid of the metal/foil under the label or print in big bold letters to remove the label before use.

I'm very aggravated that I placed the order on December 2 and I still don't have my order! Today is December 13 and my order has never been shipped!! Why would it take 8 plastic items, which doesn't weigh even 5 lbs all together, this long to just put on a truck and ship??? 12 days after order was placed and order has never been shipped!!! Smh
