It works both ways... If you're on the fence about buying a fire pit this expensive then rest assured it's worth it. If you're thinking you should spend more for that other brand then get this instead and call it a day.
If you are looking for a fire pit this is the one you need. First it's so easy to put together. I was able to put it together on my own with no help. You just screw on the metal plate to the bottom of the pit and Place the bottom piece on and your done. I have to added that it's not heavy to carry and the portable bag makes it so easy to travel. We took it outside , put some dry wood inside and started a fire. There was less smoke than our regular fire pit. But don't be fooled thinking less smoke less heat, This bad boy brings the heat.
Price not marked in store. Looked online and it was 110. Took to checkout charged 124. Turns out the online purchase was discounted with free delivery. Purchased online and returned store bought for refund. So beware re: pricing. Very good value at 110. Good for my back deck because virtually no heat on bottom. Have to play with kindling/fuel to get a good lasting fire. Found a good one last night. Balled newspaper topped with 4 fatwood sticks, 4 two inch kiln dried hardwood, then a block of compressed hardwood. Works best with 16 in or less wood because of its size
This has to be one of the coolest things I have ever used! This amazing 19 and a half inch portable smokeless wood burning fire pit is the best! It comes with this amazing carry case. Great to pack for camping, travel or just moving it from place to place outside. It's super lightweight and really easy to put together. I am looking for a great to put on top of it so I can use it to cook. The fires were easy to light and they burned extremely well. I would highly recommend it and might be purchasing another one in the future.
I was skeptical of this smokeless fire pit. It definitely smokes when you first get the fire started, but it doesn't take long for the smoke to really die down! Sometimes a little smoke will pick up again but it dies right back down again. It is light enough for me to carry and it's nice that it comes with a carrying bag. I definitely recommend this product!
I put twigs in it to try it out has good burn time took a while for the sticks to burn to ash 19.5" comes with a carrying case great for being portable taking on camping trips light weight some assembly required takes about five minutes you need a Phillips screwdriver to put the bottom plate on easy to clean wait until completely cooled off then dump ashes out you can put into the carrying bag to transport easier I would recommend this product for your camping adventures for a good portable fire pit
So my fire pit that I had for years was rusting away and decided to try this out. If you are looking for a fire pit this is the one you need. First it's so easy to put together. I was able to put it together on my own with no help, go figure these days you need someone just to hold stuff to assemble things but not this. You just screw on the metal plate to the bottom of the pit and Place the bottom piece on and you're done. I have to add that it's not heavy to carry and the portable bag makes it so easy to travel. I think it would be great to pack for camping, or bringing on an RV or for use at the beach. I could see roasting some hot dogs and toasting some marshmallows over it. Just make sure you don't put it in the bag while its hot it will burn right through it. We took it outside, put some dry wood inside and started a fire. There was some smoke initially but it lessened over time. There was less smoke than our regular fire pit. Oh and I would recommend gloves for the cleanout so you don't get too dirty. I hope this helps someone. I took of a star as it could have been a little bigger, I love a big fire going.
First of all, although this says portable I expected it to still be too heavy for me. Lol it wasn't! I think its super nice it comes with a carrying bag. I'm glad because I did knock off a store for not having a lid for this fire pit. I still wish it had one because once in the bag, the inside is going to get all ashy and gross. This actually really does cut down smoke a lot through a venting system at the bottom, but it's definitely not smokeless. Not even close, but we live in the village limits and are only allowed very controlled fire pits with many rules. This does fit them and doesn't cause annoying extra smoke for neighbors which is nice. The fire felt very contained. If you have small kids, be aware this gets insanely hot on the outside. I feel like that's obvious but a warning doesn't hurt! I like the sleek matte black and you can use whatever wood you choose to burn yourself. I preferred non electric so this fits our needs very well. Add a lid!
While the firepit itself works great, the listing states that this came with a carry bag--but it doesn't. Despite the fact that the box too states the presence of a carry bag, there was not one included. I have contacted the company and after sending fifteen emails and every piece of documentation I had including my home address for shipping, I was finally told that the carry bag is out of stock and has no estimated expected date. They will "contact me" when a shipment is expected. I'm not holding my breath.
I've attempted to review multiple times in order to warn others but they seem to be hiding these posts. Only pro is that is does emit less smoke than regular pits however, the quality is garbage. Black paint literally peeled off after first use and the customer service for this product is completely fake. Walmart claimed it was under warranty and to contact them so I did, hot shot service said contact Walmart. I explained I already had and what the issue was. They stated there is nothing they can do because they do not have any pits to replace this trash can with. So forget any type of warranty or any assistance if there is an issue. Just don't buy.
