Perfect fit for my nearly 90-year-old mom whose usage mainly consists of email, web browsing, and Word. She had an old laptop that she never used as a laptop. This has a bigger screen for much less cost and is much faster. I was happy to see that HP now has very little preinstalled "bloatware" that I needed to remove before giving to her.
I am very satisfied with the all in one desktop. I needed another family computer and this one is great.
If you have basic needs e.g. web browsing, emails, YouTube, MS Office stuff, then you can't go too far wrong. I wanted to risk the least necessary spend that would meet my needs, whilst sticking with a top brand name. My concern was RAM size and processing power - but regarding meeting such basic needs, it works absolutely fine. This machine simplifies everything down to one wire - the power cord (I separately connected a wireless K/B and Mouse, and it would be even better if this came with such rather than the wired kit that it ships with). The screen size is large enough (it's got the width); the speakers are adequate; and the built-in webcam is relatively low res but the upside it smooths out your blemishes. And importantly, all the built-in security features that are part (at least) of the point of Windows 11 and its H/W requirements are all accessible as they should be. On the last point above, historically I always bought relatively high-end Dell and/or HP machines, but on my previous purchase tried a Mini PC (from one of the typical up and coming Chinese brands), and similarly bought one for my daughter. Both machines were decent, well spec'd and well priced. However, in both cases (and two different brands) some of the key Windows security features were disabled and locked down. I have now returned to a big brand name and feel (at least) that you know what you are dealing with.
I chose the black color to match my printer. I have only had it for a few days now, but it is quick and is very touchy. Still learning about the computer as I am use to windows 10 and this an 11. The only drawback, is that there is no manual that comes with the computer.
It was delivered the next day after I ordered it. The set up was very easy but I had a hard time with the keyboard and mouse because I didn't realize the wireless adapter piece to get them connected was in the mouse battery compartment. I had to contact HP support to get that information, but other than that it works great.
This is not Walmarts fault but microsoft makes setting up a computer way too hard and will fight you in your efforts to use anything other then edge. The computer inself is faster and has more everything then I will ever need for a home computer and the price was half what I paid for a computer 10 years ago. There is no tower so I have much more room on my desk., so at this point I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Not sure what happened, but I was trying to get the extra $50 off, but there was a problem with the process. Somehow it suddenly told me my phone number had been deleted. So there's a problem with the checkout process . Normally, I have no problems, but this time was very frustrating.
Got the computer set up and the keyboard does not work. The problem is in the battery compartment. I called Walmart and was told I would have to bring everything back and get whole new setup. Unfortunately I didn't want to waste my time resetting computer back to factory and setting up new one with the very good possibility of keyboard having same problem so I just used my old USB keyboard.
I previously had an Acer for years and it was damaged so i replaced it with this HP. The worst purchase I ever made as far as a computer. It is so glitchy. I open one tab and 15 more opens. I have to constantly turn the mouse pointer on and off just to click on things. I mean this is super annoying. If any one knows how to fix this, please help me out.
I am disappointed both in Walmart %26 HP It's very difficult to contact the right person to resolve my concerns regarding the recent HP computer purchase with no instructions how to set up the computer I made several phone calls since yesterday and requested instructions how to set up the computer and still waiting. I requested copy of the invoice for the computer from Walmart and again still waiting. I will let my friends %26 others to be aware about my substandard experience with Walmart %26 HP.
