Great starter gaming computer

Craig719 November 20, 2020

System is ready to be used the second you purchase it. Just plug and play. The system comes with the tower, wired mouse, wired keyboard. You will need to purchase an HDMI cable to connect a monitor. There's only 1 HDMI port, 1 display port, and 1 vga port. There are 4 USB ports on the back and 4 more in the front. The front also has a SD card reader and 1 usb c port. Although there is an ethernet port in the back, the tower does have a wireless card install for easy connection. The tower itself is pretty quiet when running. Setup does take about 10 to 15 mins for profile, privacy and settings. After that, you're good to go to install all your programs. This is HP gaming computer is running on a windows 10 operating software. It only comes with 8GB of ram, but you can easily swap it out for more. Decent system for beginner gamers.

Game On!

cc September 30, 2020

This gaming computer is fast and has great performance. It has the efficient features and components needed for your gaming needs. It has nine ports; for Headphone/Microphone, SuperSpeed USB Type-A, SuperSpeed USB Type-C, USB 2.0 Type-A, DVD-D, HDMI Display Port, Media Card Reader. The computer has a 5-3500 processor & AMD Ryzen for an awesome performance and streaming experience. The graphics (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER) is really nice on this machine for your favorite gaming titles. It has tremendous sound for the ultimate experience. It also has 8 GB RAM Memory and 256 GB hard drive. What is really nice about this is if you are a true gamer, you can upgrade which is supposed to be seamless. This machine is perfect for my use. I also use this computer now as my main personal computer as well. It has Windows 10 which is what I need for my daily use. The tower is smaller than those older towers that I have had in the past. The computer also comes with keyboard and mouse. Very satisfied with this computer.

Nice Desktop PC with good specs.

S20 December 16, 2020

I'm glad to have purchased this HP Pavilion TG01-0023w Gaming PC at Walmart as it ticks all the boxes. The specs of this PC are pretty good and out of the box the computer is fast. This desktop comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500 (3.4 GHz, 6 Core) CPU, which beats both the Intel i3-10100 and Intel i5-10400 CPUs in the benchmarks. There is 8GB of DDR4 2666 MHz RAM and for storage it comes with a 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD, which has good read and write speeds. The PC has a Realtek Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 card as well, which is nice to have if you don't use a LAN connection. For me, the main selling point is that it comes with a NVIDIA GTX 1650 SUPER graphics card that has three outputs (1 x HDMI, 1 x DVI, and 1 x DisplayPort). Thankfully the bright green light on the front of the case can be controlled using the HP Omen Software. The software gives you the options of having the green light set to static, off, breathing, or blinking. You can change the breathing and blinking speeds, however you can't change the color or the brightness of the light. Overall I am happy with this purchase as it fits both my needs and budget. After upgrading the SSD and RAM it's ample for what I will be using it for. I would say that if you are a light gamer or are not looking to upgrade the components then this computer is a decent buy for the price and I would recommend it.

I have been utilizing my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop with a NVIDIA GTX1050 graphics card for about three years now. It was time for me to get improve my PC gaming power with this HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop Tower. This tower comes with the NVIDIA GTX 1650 SUPER graphics card, which is an improvement from my laptop. I connected my Samsung 40IN LCD TV (LN40C610N1F) via HDMI to utilized it as my monitor (not bad going from 15IN to 40IN!). I have attached a picture to show the different options you have to connect monitors, TVs, etc on the back of the tower. To improve the sound that was coming from my TV, I utilized my Anker Soundcore Motion+ Speaker (A3116). The Motion+ Speaker was connected seamlessly through Bluetooth. I also enjoyed having the multiple USB Type-A & the USB Type-C in the front of the tower. This allowed me to leave a lightning cable attached to the front to charge my iPhone 11 while I'm on the computer. The HP Pavilion gaming desktop comes with a standard USB-A mouse and keyboard right out of the box. It comes with 8GB of memory, which there is another slot that you can utilized to add more memory. The max supported memory is 32GB. There is also one PCI-E x 1 & 2 internal 3.5” HDD expansion bays available for expansion. With the stock components this loaded Troy Total War so much faster than my Dell gaming laptop. I could definitely tell the difference between the two in load times & how easily the tower handled the graphics. Overall, this is a great PC gaming tower. It provides you with what you need to be able to play PC games. The best part though is that it has room for expansion to improve on that even more if you want/need to. I'm also a sucker for the green LED lights, since I like to game in the dark. I would recommend this gaming tower.

Good Mid Range Gaming Desktop

DigitalFusion October 1, 2020

This review is for the HP Pavilion R5 1650 Super 8GB/256GB TG01-0023w Gaming Desktop Tower. Opening The Box / Basic Setup - First thing you'll notice is that tower is relatively lightweight which is nice. The keyboard and mouse combo they provide is honestly the weakest link in this package, it's not that they're bad, they just aren't really "gaming" level quality. Basic Windows setup was surprisingly quick which was definitely nice. I really like that you have three different options to hook up your monitor, HDMI DisplayPort and DVI-D, but you will need to supply your own cable. And this isn't made all that clear, in order to change the lighting on the front of the tower you have to use their Omen Command Center app. The choices are pretty slim though, your options are Off/On/Flashing/Breathing with flashing and breathing having slow/med/fast speed options too. Unfortunately though there is no options to change the brightness or color of the light. Performance - For starters, this desktop goes from off to the Windows login screen in a little under 13 seconds. That alone is great, but honestly there wasn't much I could do to bog it down after that. There are options you will have to enable to get maximum performance out of this tower, but it's not that difficult to do. Overall Impression - With the use of a solid state hard drive, a 3.4 GHz hexa core processor, and 8 GB of DDR4 Ram, this definitely has the power to be a perfectly reasonable option for anyone looking for a good mid range gaming PC.

So Far, So Good!

Fa174 September 29, 2020

Great PC rig which can play all the modern games without a hitch. Also great for work from home. It comes with Windows 10, wired keyboard and wired mouse. No need to do any setup. Connect it to monitor and boot it and it will guide you with installation. We have been using this for few weeks and I have not faced any crashes. I have played have played Assassins Creed Odyssey, Rage 2, Control, Far Cry New Dawn without any issues. Small in size and very lightweight. Very happy with the performance. HP has done a great job with this machine! Highly recommended for just about anyone!

IMPRESSED

AmethystRaven September 23, 2020

So I've been playing my games on a cyberpower pc since 2015.. I've never really had a HP computer but was so excited to give it a shot! And I am impressed!!! Pros: fans are quiet (my old pc fans were LOUD), small compact design, green LED light is a nice touch, fast, responsive, loading screens for games like World of Warcraft are FAST and everyone is loaded when I load in, I can have my graphics setting on WoW on a 10 (but it says 7 is recommended, but I still wanted to try and it did GREAT). Cons: wish that you could change LED color, wish SSD had more space. That's really all I can think of right now.

Impressive gaming desktop tower! Great graphics

LunaSparkles October 10, 2020

The HP Pavilion Gaming R5 1650 Super 8GB/256GB Desktop Tower is an amazing computer and has a powerful processor. The box included a keyboard and mouse that both connect with wires, as well as the gaming desktop tower itself. I bought myself a brand new monitor to use with this desktop tower. The processor in this computer is awesome. It allows me to watch videos and play video games with high quality graphics, more depth in the graphics as well as enhanced computer speed. The tower is quiet and stays cool while I'm playing games and using it - which is great. I love the look and feel of the tower too and I can plug my phone and headphones into it. It was very easy to set up and everything I needed was in the box except the monitor. This is a great product in my opinion and I definitely recommend it. It is a powerful machine and exceeded my expectations.

World of Warcraft and X-plane 11 play excellent!

Mages October 5, 2020

We installed on this desktop World of Warcraft and X-plane 11. For those who don't know these games have enormous amount of 3d graphics. Both of the games play very smooth! The processor and graphic card definitely pull it off. We are so happy with this computer. It is smaller than most of desktops I've seen, looks neat with its futuristic green light on the bottom. It has lots of different ports. 7 of them, like for the headphones and other media are located at front which gives such an easy access. It comes with the basic keyboard and mouse to get you started. They are good quality. The only thing what's missing is the screen. We are using our old monitor with HDMI cable, but we will buy a high quality screen soon to have an amazing flight simulation experience. This computer is definitely worth it.

Doesn't run at all. Plus over paid, in store 600.

Samantha June 9, 2021

It continues to shut its self off even if I dont do anything. I load it up, I wait for my screen to load and as soon as I move my mouse it shuts down. Ive done a reset but nothing changes. Its not hot or anything the cpu shows to run fine. But its honestly just in its box because it shutting down constantly was just frustrating. As well as the price difference I paid nearly 800 while the exact same model in store is 600. The online prices should be the same. What a way to lose customers.
