Out of the box there are only a few steps to set it up. The directions were very simple to follow. There are basically 3 steps to set up. You plug it in, insert the USB wireless mouse plug, and plug it into your TV or monitor with an HDMI cable. The tower is small and compact. The power button is on the top front and is lit up so it's easy to see. The options I like best about this computer are the large 1 TB hard drive, 6 USB ports, and the Bluetooth capability. I hook this up to my living room TV and use it to stream videos. There is no noticeable lag while streaming. I like the fact that it comes with a wireless mouse and keyboard. That way I can sit on the couch and use the computer from across the room. I also use it to browse the internet, and play music CD's. The HP music player worked great! You can connect it to a wireless Bluetooth speaker system and get the surround sound affect. Overall, I was pretty impressed. For the price it would be great for basic home use. I would recommend it!
I gotta say Oooo Weee great pc
Just what I needed for business and for photo editing software.
I was looking for a nice computer that would allow me to play games like The Sims for ex, and this computer does just that. I also use it for my itunes and so far it hasnt slowed down. I'm really glad I got this computer it seems like a perfect fit for a person who surfs the web but also likes to play computer games that aren't demanding.
I didn't know what to expect exactly this being a desktop in the tablet and smart phone age these days it seems anyway. But I was wrong seeing how much faster it performs. And great to store other files from phone or tablets on and so much memory I don't know if I'll use it all. Awesome product for the price.
This HP Slim 270-p43W Desktop Tower is really a hit in my book! It has a glossy black finish and is small enough to fit just about anywhere! It measures just 4.0“ wide and 11.0” in tall & 11.875" deep. When you think you have it all, there is a HP wireless keyboard and mouse, plus the Windows 10 home edition operating system and DVD Writer. This machine has just about everything that you could need or want in a computer package! It gives you performance power with a Intel Core i3-7100 processor with 8 GB SDRAM memory and a 1 TB Hard Drive. This gives you multitasking performance and great 4K video capabilities. This computer also gives you a 3 in 1 Media Card Reader, Wifi plus Bluetooth Wireless Lan and 6x USB Ports! The computer was very easy to set up and to get it running properly. With the limited space that I have available in my computer room, it was a welcome and compact size! The only negative I found was the small amount of memory, only 8GB SDRAM, needs to be increased, as software requires much more many time. This HP Desktop Tower computer gives you everything you need to accomplish any task that you find that you need to accomplish; and being a HP Product you have the best machine and service that money can buy!
Nice little Computer, I'm using it for a security cam DVR/ Server and a HTPC. Only thing I don't like is Windows 10. If it had Windows 7 on it I would give it a 5.
Excellent bang for the buck. I couldn't build this system for less. Don't care much for the keyboard and mouse so I replaced it with a Logitech set. The biggest problem I have encountered is documentation. I was thinking about adding an internal M.2 SSD but could not find out what type and length I needed. I even spoke with 3 or 4 different departments at HP and no one could help me. HP no longer makes this model. I've given up the idea of this type of internal drive.
It was hard to determine to give it a 2 star or three star. I like the way it performs. However, I am very disappointed it has an annoying noise. I have had it approximately two weeks. I am contemplating whether to take it back to Wal-Mart. I've had HP products in the past with no problems. My wife has a 4 yr HP computer and has not had the problem I am having.
Difficult to boot (5 to 10 tries) and then freezes. Cus support Techs from India reconfigured OS to "factory specs" but no help. Then the DVD stopped working. I got an RMA that said I had until Nov 12 to return but I missed the fine print that said the computer had to be returned Aug 29,2018. CAVEAT EMPTOR. Now awaiting repair. For a brand new CPU? Give me a break.
