I've always used

tbond007 July 7, 2017

I've always used this product with my above ground pools. I say pools, because I've gone from a 10ft pool up to a 24 ft pool and my husband has made me down size to a 22 ft. But, any time I have a ph or an alkalinity issue I've always used HTH. I do not buy chlorine tabs or any of my better products from Wal-Mart, I buy them from a pool supply. This seemed to work in a pinch and I've used it ever since.

It's Just Baking Soda

CriticalThinker September 29, 2018

Read the label. This is just baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) put in a fancy package and sold for 100 times more than baking soda costs. BIG Rip-off. Just buy some Arm and Hammer or generic baking soda instead and save yourself LOTS of money.

Not the same as Baking soda

Bryan May 21, 2017

Had water tested by pool place where I normally have it tested at. Water was clear as a bell to start with. Alkalinity was a little low. Needed 10 lbs of Baking soda and needed to be shocked. I went to Wal-Mart to get the baking soda I have the shock already that I purchase in bulk from the pool supply store. Wal-Mart was sold out of the baking soda so I purchased this product to raise the Alkalinity. I added the two 5 pounds of this product. instead of waiting the 2 hours I was instructed I waited till the next day before I shocked the pool. when I shocked the pool the next day the water turned the prettiest white milk color I have ever seen. back to the pool store to see if I can fix this or do I just have to wait till the water clears up on its on. Very disappointed!! I have had my pool along time and knew better. Buy your chemicals from a knowledgeable place. don't go cheap on your summer fun!!
