Pool stores screwed me over by telling me to dump a whole bunch of CYA in my pool and their shock. Then after a few months my pool had too much CYA and they told me to buy CYA remover. Anyways, after adding and draining and wasting water, i came across this product. It adds chlorine without adding too much CYA. i use this as the only shock and chlorine. It does add calcium to the water but then if its too high you can get flocculant to remove and run the filter for 24 hours.
Since we cannot get out to shop during the Covid 19 isolation, having this shipped was a tremendous help. It came in a timely manner as well. We can at least open our pool and get it ready for summer.
Dependable. Works well. Individual packets much easier to handle than large buckets and easier to store. Gets delivered right away, use as needed. Its the only chlorine I use.
I stay on a regular routine with this shock and never have to worry that it is not going to do the job of keeping my pool clear and free of algae.
Within minutes product started working and you could see algae and etc. Floating to the top of the pool
Does a great job cleaning your pool as long as you have the correct gallons of water calculated in your pool. Vinyl pools are hard to calculate. Remember capacity on box at purchase because conventional method isn't accurate.
If your pool is green I found this will clear it up in 4 or 5 days. Double the amount your suppose to use. After a day or running filter I clean my filter real good. You might have to clean filter every 24 hours. But it will eventually clear up.
Works as described. Takes care of the occasional green algae bloom with ease. Just remember to vacuum the dead stuff off the floors/walls of your pool after it turns from green to brown/black
I ordered this because Walmart was out of stock on my preferred chlorine, the 8lb package of Clorox for $30. The Clorox price was great and it worked well for me. I prefer granulated chlorine, tablets don't do as good a job against algae in my in-ground 800gal Jacuzzi with DE filter, heater and 2 pumps. I've been using this about a week and a half and I have to say, it works as well as the Clorox and is even cheaper! I'll keep buying this but if I had to go back to buying the Clorox I wouldn't feel bad, that is also a great deal.
Because when I bought it I couldn't figure out why it was so expensive and I needed it so bad right away so I purchased it and found out it was something that was supposed to be special and even better so I was hoping I was getting my money's worth and then I read the package and saw that it has just a very small percentage of what really needs to be in it. And the old stuff that I used to get that you always carried which is still the same brand HTH., has 99% and it is way cheaper so I had to use it to save my pool but I can see why you have to use so many packets that's because there is such a small percentage of the stuff you need and you have to pay so much more and so you're being taken advantage of. I was very angry because spending that much money is something I can't afford. I'm on a fixed on income.
