Huffy has always set the standard for bicycles When it came to buying a new bicycle for my grandson, when I saw Huffy, I saw a sale. Adam had outgrown his "Mongoose" bicycle with training wheels, and once he didn't need the training wheels, it was time for a "new bike!" As I began my search, I didn't know Huffy was going to provide a bicycle for both my grandson and myself. I didn't want the handbrakes on the steering wheels for my grandson. I'd grown up using "coaster brakes," which this Huffy model is equipped with. The bike is easy to assemble out of the box, as it's mostly put together. It had been years since I'd ridden a bicycle, but, it was "just like riding a bike," once I started heading on down the road. This bike has been great for exercise, getting my "cardio workout," and just having fun. I'm not cycling for the "Tour de France." I'm just riding around with my grandson, and we're both having fun riding our blue Huffy bikes!!!
I've only had the bike out of the box 1 day at time of this review but overall the build quality from what I can see is good. Seems to have a very sturdy frame. Overall was really easy to put together. I feel its at least decent quality but its a $100 bike. You get what you pay for right?
I was a little skeptical because of the price. Also because when it was delivered the box was open on my porch. I thought parts would be missing but they were all there. I purchased for my husband. He likes it but has not had an opportunity to ride yet.
I bought this for my autistic son since he has such a hard time with the bikes with gears. I have gone through 1 tire and 3 inner tubes in less than a year already. it says the weight limit is 250lbs he doesn't weigh anywhere near that . we should not be having these issues!
2 bent rims and a bunch of scratches and dents. So many dents I couldn’t bring myself to keep the fenders or chain guard on. Silver paint underneath the blue looks nice... lol jk glossy primer coat???with no scratches so the paint never attached... tisk tisk boys and girls... gotta scuff between coats.. Pros... rubber looks quality... nice looking overall visual appearance for 100$
This bike arrived at my home scratched and damaged. I cannot get Walmart to work with me on getting a bike that is not scratched or damaged. Don't risk it.
Bike frame showed up super scratched, couldnt exchange because they were sold out, Walmart offered $5 lol
Bike arrived with several long scratches. Also, missing a necessary bolt. Had to purchase one at a Lowes. Contacted the seller to ask for a small bottle of paint so we could repair the bike. After two attempts, the seller responded with: "contact huff.com". That was all they said. So disappointed in this seller. Also, we will have to remove the fenders as they rub on the tires. My husband weighs 160lbs so it's not a weight issue.
We were excited about the bike, and this was the back to school gift for my child. However the pedal broke on the first ride. I do not recommend this item at all. I am very upset.
This bike has parts that just do not stay in place/stable. The seat moves, the pedals fell off. When you try to screw parts back on, the screws are stripped even if it is the first time. I wouldn't buy this bike and if you do I would never put this bike together at home. Check it out in store first. Since we bought this at Christmas, I can't even exchange it.
