I purchased this for a damp basement thinking 70 pints would be enough but quickly learned it’s small but effective. It’s perfect for my upstairs bathroom or my 1st level kitchen. Super quiet, easy to use and perfect for the price. Excellent product!!
First - it does come with a small drain tube and/or a container that holds 9 cups. I use it with the container and empty it ever 1.5 days. Easy peasy. It also will let you set a humidity level and will cycle off once that level is reached and come back on as needed. Not the quietist thing but I can sleep with it on. It has a timer mode too but I have not tried it. One issue I had was the front led did not work. Not super concerned because the defaults are okay. But make sure you check it. Walmart is great with returns and does offer a warranty. So not a big deal to me and I'd still recommend it. The air feels cooler and the air conditioner runs less.
this item was on sale for over 50% off. The dehumidifier has been working like a champ. I do not use drain hose, empty it every 8 hours or so. It turns off on its own when the drainage container is full. as usual, the time for product to deliver was typical of walmart, fast and reliable.
The unit worked great for a few months. The unit did stop functioning afterwards. However, I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement right away. The new unit is working great. I’m giving 5 stars because the unit does work well and when it didn’t the seller was super quick about making it right. Additionally, the seller was interested in my feedback in an effort to make their product better. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.
Perfect little dehumidifier for the price (@$140). Would be perfect for my basement if it held more water. Works great. Unfortunately I have to empty it daily. Perfect if I could use the hose. Really does a good job removing the humidity. Very easy to move around.
Device appears to be working great. Smaller and quieter than its predecessor. This part is 5 stars. HOWEVER, the manual says to register for an extra year warranty. The website given was hijacked the first time I went. Later, I accessed it but there's no provision to register. I used the contact form and got no response (it's been 6 days). I called Walmart support and they told me I'd be hearing from the manufacturer. That was three days ago. I don't usually do reviews, but maybe now someone will take steps so I can register this device (and hopefully the warranty won't be needed).
I'm very conflicted on my opinion of this humidifier. The good: It works as described, it's quiet enough for a bedroom, the reservoir removes easily, easy to use. The bad: The wheels do not want to go on, the reservoir fills almost to the top before the alarm sounds so it's hard to carry without spilling. The biggest negative is the wheels not going on. I do a lot of diy and never had a problem like this. It doesn't help that the plastic is so thin that you can't hammer them in for fear of them breaking. I tried oiling them and finally gave up and use it without them. I understand the need for them to be snug but they're far beyond snug. Overall I'm satisfied.
The hose is a piece of junk that essentially will not attach where it is supposed to. It is so small and flimsy that I can’t imagine it would last very long anyway. the fan button seemed to quit working the second time I tested the unit.
Right from the first some of the fan setting buttons did not respond, I set it and every day the power goes off and I game to reset it. When I wrote to Humsure service they quickly responded with a polite email stating they would help resolve the issues. I followed up with the information about the unit, etc., and didn’t hear back from them. Spend the extra money and get a Danny which serviced us for over 15 years.
The thing is so small, and it leaks, and Walmart would not take it back unless it was 24 hours or less from when it was delivered to me. I’ve had it three days. Useless, ineffective and barely trapped any water. I’m stuck with the thing, because Walmart would not refund it. It was delivered to me exactly three days ago!
