This has become a staple in our kitchen. I love soups and making Spanish rice and many other dishes. I enjoyed it the aromas while the adults where cooking as child. These days my husband and I enjoy it as well. I've notice the cans disappear quickly since we both enjoy cooking, Italian and Spanish foods. Highly recommend and its perfect as is- not spicy hot. We add the spices to our liking.👍👍

Will always have this in my pantry!
This is great tomato paste at a fraction of the cost of name brands! There is absolutely no difference in taste or texture, I know, because I'd used a can of each in one recipe, along with using it without the other. I love that spices are added, but also add some of my own. Gives good balance to my spaghetti sauce!

Not your traditional Memorial Day Dinner
I made a homemade spaghetti sauce from a 1930 version of the Joy of cooking. I used the Lean Beef purchased during this order and Italian sausage and it came out perfect. Garnished with garlic bread.

Thickens sauces while enhancing Italian flavors
Hunts makes a fantastic marinara style 8 oz can with Italian spices. I use it frequently for dipping sauces or Chicken parmesan. When I use a can of diced tomatoes w/Italian style spices in it this tomato paste thickens the meat sauce nicely without making too big of a pot of sauce or simmering for hours. I prefer ground pork or sausage because beef is an unsustainable abomination for our environment. I always add some garlic in powder form to satisfy my craving for a prominent garlic aftertaste... that's Italian!

A bit grainy texture. Good flavor.
Not spicy, but seasoned to add flavor. Texture is a bit grainy. Tried several different brands of tomato paste, and grainy seems a common texture. The regular variety is bland, so I use this one to get more flavor. However, I moved to tomato sauce which mixes easier into soups and stews. You can't spread tomato sauce over crackers, so this is a good enough substitute for sliced tomatoes on crackers.
