I have Rosacea and eczema on my heck and chest. So I have need of a repairing nutrient dense, fragrance free formula. I have always had dry skin even in a humid sub tropical environment. So I have tried many moisturizers in my nearly 50 years . I like my night creams to be rich moisturizers that hold in my anti aging products while still help ease my itchy neck. The best I've found for this is a good 3:1:1 ratio of ceramide in creams though some of the more popular ones leave me itchy or feeling dry, some even burn. I tend to prefer the ones that are oil rich or the 5 ceramide type which usually cost me a pretty penny. Finding hydrating, moisture retaining and fragrance free moisturizers is a must for me. I have a few high end and k beauty favorites that fill this rule however none of them do it anywhere near this price point. I have also not found one that calms my neck nearly so well (and I've tried them all I think). I rub this onto my irritated neck and chest and it very quickly soothes and leaves my neck itch free all night long. It's a little too rich for me in the hottest months here in the deep south but I use it for my neck anyway as I haven't found anything else that quite matches it. Now this does have a chemical smell but if you are looking for a fragrance free option.. it's going to smell like the chemicals that it's made from. This bothered me for the first few nights now I've come to actually enjoy the smell I think it part because of all the barrier repair it's done has made my mind associate good things with it. I tend to be VERY red on my chest using this has significantly reduced how red my chest is. I can't say enough good things about it, however I will say the airless design sucks. It can be annoying to get it out as the "pump" does work consistently. I'd be find if it was just in a jar but this won't keep me from leaving 5 stars as the product itself deserves 10. You can also just unscrew the top and use it like any other jar so it's manageable as long as you don't dwell on fighting with the airless packaging. It might not be for everyone but it tend to be very dry, sensitive and itchy you might give this a go it could be the godsend for you that has been for me.
I have extra dry skin on my feet and the hydration cream is working well. it takes time
it's not as large as I thought: i was looking for a whipped butter creme lotion, so really my fault- it'd work good in a purse too.
I bought this brand because it's cruelty free. Cruelty free products don't always smell as nice, but they shouldn't smell bad either. I purchased a bottle and when I got home, I realized that it had been previously opened and it smelled unpleasant. I returned the original bottle and exchanged it for this one. Same brand, same scent which is not pleasant by any means but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. It did not relieve any of the dryness on my face, instead it felt oily, dirty. The following week I tore my bathroom apart looking for the source of a mildew odor, scrubbing everything down. I couldn't find the source until I opened the bottle. The smell was coming from the cream. Having worked in hospitals for decades I regularly sanitize all surfaces in my home. I wash and dry my hands before I touch anything, especially my face so I know there was no cross contamination. The smell should have been a warning. Many preservatives are cruelty free, and I'm wondering if they cut corners with this product. Either way I will never buy it again.
