Hyper Tough 17-Inch Curved Shaft Gas String Trimmer

Firstly, my name listed here has nothing to do with this product. The hyperTough 17" trimmer in my opinion is a bargain. Powerful enough to trim tall thick grass with large diameter line. Easy to start. Reliable. Perfect size for people of smaller stature - easy to keep cutting head level with the ground. Maintenance is simple. Sidewalks and curbs are simple to edge just by rotating the trimmer 90 degrees - it has power to do the edging but not so much power that it is difficult inlike using a larger straight shaft unit to do the same job.This is my 3rd HyperTough trimmer; not because of lack of quality but because I wear them out as I use them heavily and run them wide open. They last for 3 years of HEAVY and abusive usage.When I wear this one out I'll buy another if they are available.

If you are a taller person, maybe choose the Straight Shaft. when my husband uses the curved shaft, he said that after about 20 minutes of use, his back started to hurt because he had to lean further over just to use it. Other than that, it seems to do pretty good overall.

I had another one of these exact same models and it lasted me nearly 5 years. The only bad thing is the little gas bulbs for these are very hard to find if they wear out that you prime the gas with on the engine so store your equipment well. They will become brittle if you leave them outside or in very hot sheds. Other than that, this is a very strong and will do the job for several years. This model has better gas lines that don't wear out so fast.

I have purchased 2 of these to use with my collection of other brand accessories and they work perfectly well. Tool starts first pull and there is plenty of power. amazing for price. Nigel J F.L

Product is great for cutting lawn grass and bushes for emergencies but it doesn't modify with any straight rods for metal blade use to cut out stubborn tree lawn woods but it's great aside that

This gas powered weed eater is very powerful. Need to wear long pants or boots when using. This devise is very good so much better than the battery operated. tired of replacing batteries or waiting for them to charge to finish the job. This one is full of power and the string is super strong.

This is a great weed eater for the price. It also gets any job done. And very reliable. Just don't recommend trying a very heavy yard.Otherwise, for a hundred bucks, a gas weed eater.Guess it's a okay price and it's worth is worthy

putting it together was ok could of had better instructions or pictures. to get it to run was crazy the 1st time which was expected but the 2nd, and third time was was worse and very hard on my body 1st time using it was smoking and it burnt the guard like catching fire. i didnt get to cut nothing more than a foot. maybe i had a bad apple i dnt know. the weight was heavy to ME. bout time i got it started i was to tired to cut

Do not buy I've had to return this item 3 times. The first 2 I got were returned items already broken. I called Walmart to make sure they'd send me a new one I didn't want something somebody else had already returned. The 3rd one had a hole in the gas tank so it would not start. Terrible buy definitely got what I paid for.

I have purchased this item 3 different times, I am 5ft and it was perfect size and weight. Cuts good but after a month or so of use it stops functioning properly. I bought another one thinking it's just a glich (I always get broken or no working item, if it's gonna happen it's gonna happen to me) after the second one died in the first month or getting it. We said the 3rd one would be our last and it stoped working in 2 weeks. I had unfortunately never got the warranty because it didn't matter to much to me for a piece of equipment like this.. well we ordered a badger after than and beside me jamming it into a fence it's worked great and so worth the price. Won't be buying this brand again, the mowers don't have any power to the either so it's the brand not random ones not working
