This prybar has come in very handy for me. At 17 inches, its a good length for getting leverage. Do take into consideration that its a budget friendly pry bar and i only use it for light to medium jobs.

I work in a small machine shop and needed a pry bar with a small end on it. The number one thing I use a pry bar for is to remove stop blocks from the machine slots. We have to hammer the blocks into the machine slots and they can be pretty hard to remove. Most pry bars have an inch or bigger end on them, where this one is about 5/8 of an inch. The table slot is 18MM so this pry bar easily fits in the slot and can then be hammered under the stop block for easy removal. That's all I've used it for so far but it has worked great for that. It seems to be well made and hasn't bent under force so I anticipate it lasting for quite awhile.

I received this Hyper Tough 17" Pry Bar in return for my honest review. I have purchased many Hyper branded tools and items in the past and have always found them to a great value. Yes, I am a Hyper brand fan and never have regretted buying a Hyper branded tool or item and never had one break or fail in any way. I use pry bars in my machine shop on a regular basis and have a large variety of different sizes and each one is intended and designed for a special purpose. With pry bars, one size does not fit all. I was delighted to receive this Hyper Tough 17" pry bar as it is made from a custom blend of high-carbon steel stock here in the USA. This is a press- forged, heat treated tool with a very nice handle and a hard metal cap to allow to for hammer strikes I have given it a workout and I am very happy with the way it feels and works. I would definitely recommend it to a friend as it is a quality tool at a brain price.

I got this to use for an automotive job (ball joint). It's length appears to be great for leverage, but I don't feel the strength and thickness can handle heavy duty. This seems to be more of a medium duty bar as it was bending. However, I wound up using an old tire iron, and that bent too, but got the job done. I do like that the handle/butt end is flattened for hitting with a mallet.

The edge was a little to thick, I needed a sharper and flatter edge to get underneath. Overall good tool to use.
