I bought this solely to grind my dogs' nails. So far, so good! Very pleased, price is very competitive, the unit has a built in light, and it works quickly on my large dogs' tough nails where the "pet" grinders simply stall out. I'd been using a heavier corded name brand grinder and this is more comfortable in my hand. Will see how it holds up, but so far, it's a winner.
Hyper Tough AQ85000G 8-Volt Lithium-Ion Rotary Tool, 40 Accessories. Good replacement for my dremel rotary tool that quit working. This tool was cheaper than the cost of a new battery and/or charger.
I was apprehensive to buy this because of the price but the quality is much better than I expected, the battery seems to last a long time and The accessories are high-quality Feels great in my hand, nice light and plenty of RPM adjustments available.
I use these at work and have at least two available and charged. My only complaint is the charging pin was knocked out somehow in one, and I'm not sure I can fix it. It will just be parts to keep the others working. I have to be able to fix my tools - so left one star out.
this was great to have when it came to light work like carving or engraving, when it came to sanding, I mean a lot of sanding and grinding it wouldn't have the torque to keep up and would shut off. after a while the motor gave out and started smoking. my advise is spend the extra $$$ if you plan on doing a lot of heavy work with this.
They are a nice dremel tool but not very sturdy. When they work they are great but the break very quickly if used every day. I use them at my groom shop to grind nails and they only last on the average a month or two. I got sick of constantly returning them so just buy a few new ones every other month because about half of them work fir as my amount of time.
Purchased to use as a dog nail grinder. 1st one was great, lasted quite a while. Love the light so you can see what you're doing. Purchased a second one, and about 6 months later, the switch quit working, Contacted the phone number on the side of the box-4 months later, no response, Purchased another about 1 month ago, used it three times, and the unit shuts off by itself. Looks like the switch isn't working on that one. Plan on returning it to the store, even though the box says not to. Am tired of them just stopping, with little use, and no response from the manufacturer. Just received a new one for a present, and am ready to take it back to exchange it for some other brand. Walmart, please tell the manufacturer to fix the problem, AND TO RETURN CALLS FOR DEFECTIVE ITEMS.
Very funny thing happened when I bought this. It is cordless of course; but the cord never came with it thus making the ad ridiculously funny. And so I tried to notify Walmart many times and was not able to even get any response at all from them. The problem was never resolved. I don't own a car, neither do I live in an area where there is such a store. The closest store is 92 miles away. So I am going to order the cord soon when money is available off of ebay, Wal mart is my favorite store when dealing with economy; it is a way to make the dollar stretch when you haven't the money to do what your neighbor does. So I will always be a customer, but I will definitely understand my limits without a doubt.
I use tools a lot. I wanted a cordless rotary tool that was lighter than my Milwaukee. The first one I bought a year ago really worked well for more delicate jobs. This led to additional purchases as follows: 1. Works Great 2. Defective (speed control changed randomly) 3. Works Great 4. Defective (turns off immediately when used) 5. Defective (turns off immediately when used) The two that work are really great tools. It is sad that the quality control isn't better for these. That is why you see so many 1 star and 5 star reviews. With a 60% failure rate (3/5), I really cannot recommend this tool. If you play the lottery, you may want to give them a try. Mark
the first one I bought broke with a week...the 2nd one I bought to replace it. lasted through only a few projects...I use it to lightly sand rough edges off of my resin work...I won't buy this again. terrible
