Hyper Tough Automotive Carbon Steel 1500 lbs Trailer Winch

Buy this one over the harbor freight one. I had one from harbor freight that lasted a year. You can tell the metal and everything is built to last. It's almost double the weight. So far I've been very pleased with it.

This is a very handsome, well made hand crank wench. When it arrived, the package was pretty damaged, but the product itself had no damage. This will work well with my husbands catfish boat! We are excited to use it this summer, it seems to be sturdy, made from good, strong materials, and ready to go!

overall a nice and shiny replacement bolted right up nicely some assembly required but its literally 3 bolt total 2 from your trailer and 1 to put the handle on

I use this winch somewhat unusually. I mounted it on the back of the snowmobile I use to groom our cross-country ski trails. Works perfectly to raise and lower the track setter, something I formerly had to get off and back on the snowmobile to do. Saves lots of time and effort. Easy operate, expect it will last many years.

The old trailer boat winch on a used Tracker Grizzly 1648 boat I bought from a boat dealer in Hemet, Ca. fell off on the way home. This replacement is a great improvement and well made; larger capacity too. Very easy to install.

It feels quality but lacks a secondary strap

I used the Hyper Tough Automotive Carbon Steel 1500 lbs Trailer Winch to lift a window, and it felt unstable for what I needed it for. Securing the winch was difficult, and it didn't provide the stability I needed when handling a glass for a window. It might work better for other uses, but I wouldn't recommend it for lifting delicate or awkward items.
