Purchase of this cooker was best thing that happened to our meals!!! Less cooking times, able to season meals at one instance, prepare rice, noodles, potatoes, and the desired meats at one time !!! Prepare beans, soups, stews etc... with no problems, vegatables, beans, stew meats tender to melt in your mouth, would and will buy again when it is time !!!
Awesome ! My sister loved her birthday present. She's been cooking in it ever since. She couldn't believe the ease of using it vs. the old style one to put on the stove.
Still learning my first dish took hours compared to what they said but in time getting use to it. 2nd dish Ribs were GREAT!! I just feel a free recipe book should come with it for price.
I loved this size., I have a stove top pressure which is faster but you have to watch it constantly. The InstaPot is several appliances in one. It is usually not faster than conventional cooking BUT it is great for not have to turn on the stove oven at 220 volts and heat up the kitchen in summer. You can use it for slow cooker up to 20 hours, steamer, pressure cooker, egg and rice cooker, and manual set, if needed, etc. You can set it and forget it til time is up and you can delay time to start. I love this one. I have had 3 of them. I like the 3 and 6 qts. for my use with just 3 people in the household. The only thing I would add is an on and off switch and a no stick coating in the cooking pot. I just spray mine with Pam spray and when done, unplug it, unless I want to keep warm. Just read all directions on the pot and recipes...plus you can find more recipes online and utube. The price on this one is great. I shop all over the internet for free shipping, price drops, discounts, coupons, I use Honey app and Rakuten app and go to web sites that use them. It pays to shop around and get several reviews on products. Also, this says "bake" cake, etc, it is not bake but steamed. You can make bread, too, just following directions online instructions or cooker instructions. I wash the top and the inner pan in the dishwasher. Top in the top rack, inner pot in bottom rack. You can wash by hand and be sure to clean the sealing ring well and put a little tiny bit of cooking oil around it to seal better, my tip, not manufacturer!!! Also, this is NOT a pressure cooker canner for veggies and meats! Dive in, enjoy one!
I've had this a short time now I have used it many times. it's a new way of cooking and in our case we do experiment a little bit. So far everything we've cooked has been nothing but delicious. This is the first generation pot but has more than enough features. I have considered buying a few more to send to my adult children.
Such an amazing product, I wish I bought one years ago ! Truly amazing. I've watched YouTube videos for better understanding on how to use it. Reading the instructions didn't help as much but I still kept them just in case. Thank you to the person who made this product.
Have had this pot for close to a month now and i can tell you this is the greatest thing in my kitchen. It replaces your slow cooker (which you will never use again anyway) your rice cooker, many pots and pans, and even your frying pan. I use this once or twice a week to make my meals and it is quick and easy and it is ONE pot to clean as normally i would need to clean an entire array of pans and cookers for a meal. I made chili today in approx 45 minutes...Chili...yeah that stuff you have to fry onions and peppers and brown ground beef before putting it in a slow cooker for 8-10 hours. In this case i turned on the saute functions through in my onions and peppers and browned them. I then threw in 2lbs of ground beef and bowned that in about 10-15 minutes IN THE INSTANT POT...i then threw my ingredients in (beans, tomatoes, spices) gave it a stir and put the pot in pressure cook for 22 minutes. Came back about 30 minutes later, released the pressure and ate my chili. This is truly one of the best things i have bought in the past 20 years.
If you are new the Instant Pot world, this is the one to start with. It is so easy to use, with its preprogrammed buttons. It will not blow up on you like most people fear. Just follow the directions, and you have your meal in no time. I bought this as a wedding shower gift but I have one myself. Enjoy!
Actually, I like the whole Pot. I already have a 3qt that I'm in love with and can do a whole lot of things with. I bought a 6qt because I was going to give it to my son but then Ifound out by accident that every once in awhile it would be better to have a bit bigger pot so I decided to keep this 6qt also. It has a couple of different Features that I like. Now all I have to do is push the Cake button, can cook a few bigger Items in it. I just recently cooked some Ribs in it a few things that would have been kind of crammed in the 3qt. I like to experience around quite often to see if things come out the way I want them to, it does not work all the time but then without playing around with how would I know how things work, if I can do things or now. Most of the time it works out just fine. Just found out I can even make Jams in it. What it boils down to is, I love my Instant Pot, both of them and the price was just righton both of them.
This has been my first experience with an instant pot. I ordered it not quite knowing what to expect, other than what I had read online. Upon unboxing the pot, I found it had a good heavy feel and it seemed to be of high quality. The instructions were well written and thorough. The recipe book that was included was a little spares, however. For my first trial I tried a mexican cassarole recipe that I had gotten online. It was easy to prepare, just put the ingredients in, put the lid on, and press the button. Twenty minutes later it was done. The dish turned out fantastic and had the tenderest rice that I had ever eaten, Since then I have cooked several meals in this fasihion, and they have all turned out great! I haven't used the built in steamer yet, but I anticipate that it will be easy to use and clean as well. This is a great pot that I would recommend to anyone.
