Better than much more expensive drain cleaner. We have a septic tank so we have to be super careful the drain cleaner we use. My lovely wife uses too much toothpaste and it has a tendency to plug up a sink. I purchased 2 of the containers, used them up and went back to purchase more. Unfortunately they were "out of stock". I purchased the same brand in larger container but is was more expensive and not "heavy duty". So I will check the Walmart site every so often to see when it becomes available. You might say tell your wife to use less toothpaste, I am not that stupid.

Amazing! Miraculous! Hallelujah! I almost gave up trying after thinking I have tried everything! I poured about a third of the bottle down my tub drain, waited several hours, and ran hot water. At first, I thought "oh no! I made it worse" The drain was clogged. Then all the sudden it drained completely and kept draining as fast as I could pour hot water. Still drains just as fast after weeks of use. After countless years of build up and No Other Product or Remedy worked...This is The One That Really Works!

I've been dealing with a slow bath tub drain, I paid 120 bucks to some random guy it didn't quite work, tried every single product from the big hardware stores nothing work, I was ready to call some professional company, one day walking thru Walmart's allies this product caught my attention, it had a sign saying 100% money back if it falls, it didn't. I poured a quarter then one hour later I poured boiled water, then I poured another quarter let it overnight on the morning I poured boiled water again and it worked like a charm. I recommend this product, it's guaranteed so there's nothing to lose

Worked well in both sink and tub for hair clogs in bathroom best use is pour it in before bed let it sit all night then flush it with boiling water from your stove works way better than and also used half bottle on each $10 is way cheaper than a plumber

It took 2 tries to get my bathroom sink unclogged. But my daughter had lived with me for a year %26 there was hair %26 make up that were clogging it. The directions even said it may take a repeat. And sure enough on 2nd try it cleared it. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

I only use Instant Power Drain Opener - it's the only brand that works every time. I usually use the black bottle - Hair %26 Grease, but the yellow bottle was on sale so I gave it a try. I usually only have issues with the shower drain (even using a hair catcher) %26 the kitchen/laundry room drain (they are on opposite sides of the house %26 a separate pipe branch than the bathrooms). Prevention is the best option for avoiding clogs - don't put anything that changes viscosity or solids in your drains %26 catching as much hair %26 lint as possible %26 you won't have to deal with clogs very often. This Heavy Duty formula worked well - I put it in the laundry sink as I have been getting some water coming up on the floor drain when the washer discharges %26 you can hear water gurgling up the pipe towards the kitchen sink. I didn't put it directly in the floor drain as I wanted to get the whole pipe between the sink/drain to hopefully clear out both at once since the kitchen drain hasn't had any water come on the basement floor. I generally leave the drain cleaner overnight %26 flush the drains when I get up. I've never had any issues with it not working. I don't have frequent drain clogs - maybe once a year, if at all in that timeframe. I use strainer baskets in the kitchen, hair catchers in the showers %26 a lint filter on the washer's discharge hose - so I catch most problem creators before they get to the pipes. I used to have to buy multiple bottles of the other brands every time I had a clog - which was quite often before I tried Instant Power. The Instant Power products use lye %26 I have found them to be the solution to my drain problems from slow drains to clogged drains. Just follow the instructions on the bottle %26 make sure you use rubber gloves %26 follow the safety tips. Pour it slowly so it doesn't splash- safety first. I have never had a lye eruption, but I do still cover the drains with a disposable plastic/paper cup, old plastic food containers (dips, cookie dough, ice cream pail, etc) or the measuring cup I bought just for the drain cleaner. I just throw the container away when I flush the drains. You do have to dip the water out of the sink/tub if there's staning water, but none if the cleaners work when they are diluted that much. Thankfully, I haven't had to call Roto Rooter to snake the main sewer pipes in my house in years! I definitely recommend trying the Instant Power drain opener products. The other brands pretty much just flow through whatever openings the drain has %26 they do nothing for cleaning the walls of the pipes. The Instant Power products with lye do a much better job!

The initial pour, sat overnight, and poured hot water didn't do anything - this was the first half of the bottle......I got frustrated, left it alone and started doing something else....... The next day, I could have cared less, and poured the rest of the stuff in, and couldn't care more about it..... Later in the dayto my surprise, and happiness it worked....... even the "snake thingy" that had been stuck ALL THIS TIME just automatically came loose....... WOW!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it!! So I guess the ENTIRE bottle has to be used......

upstairs shower drain, suddenly stopped draining, tried hot water, drain tool, vinegar, baking soda, dish soap, still plugged up and nothing found blocking, use a portion of the bottle still nothing, used the remaining, let it sit, finally results, and definitely saved me a plumber! i think over time, conditioner and washes slow things. This definitely cleared it out!

This product didn't work at all. I tried 4 times %26 nothing for 4 nights in a row. We had to call in a plumber to get the job done. Very disappointed.

I purchased it as they were on sale. after rwading the instructions, I found this not to be as good as they stated. I bought the generic store brand, which worked great.
