[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few Intex pools, this is a larger pool upgrade. The pool is durable and I like that it comes with a ladder, cover, ground cloth, 2 filters and water filter pump. I haven't set up yet, but it will be used almost everyday, weather permitting. Especially in Texas. (Be sure to have level ground, before setup).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pool is exquisite! We had no difficulty putting it together. We tore the old pool down and we had this pool up in about 6 hours. We love the clear site in the upper part of the lining. Be sure and slowly fill with water to let the liner expand. Pump installation went smoothly. We are building the new deck around the pool, but today was beautiful weather, so in we went. Gotta love Florida! Here is our video! I highly recommend this pool!!! Everything is included to get you a summer of fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great value for such a large pool. It has taken me 3 hours and 2 brains so far to try to figure out how to assemble it. We are stuck on step 4 and everything is so massive so it’s taking a bit to complete. I think I just need a couple more hours to finish and then fill it up with water! We can’t wait. All the pieces seem very sturdy and summer is just around the corner so it will be fully enjoyed by the whole family.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the High Desert area and it gets really hot during the summers. I been saving to get a pool for my family. So when I got the unbelievable opportunity to try The Intex 17' Xx48" Clearview Prism Frame Above Ground Swimming Pool Set with Pump I took it. At first I was nervous about building the pool by myself. So I had 1 of my sisters come over and asked her to help me. Its been raining in California so it took my sister a few days to come over and help me. It took us about an hour to assemble The Intex 17' Xx48" Clearview Prism Frame Above Ground Swimming Pool Set. Its a great size for a family of 5 . The pool set comes with everything you need to enjoy your pool with your family right away. I can't wait for the summer to come so I can have a pool and BBQ party for my family. I absolutely recommend this product for everyone who doesn't have a pool yet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Clearview Prism above the ground swimming pool is a great addition to any nice backyard. 17 x 48 in size and 42 inches of water depth. It comes with everything to get your summertime fun to begin. The T joints are easy to assemble. Durable 3 ply material that is puncture proof. You get a pump for filtration, cartridges and a ladder.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a family of 6 and this is our first big metal-frame pool. It’s a very heavy pool and took some muscles to drag it to our backyard. Upon close inspection, it seems to be made of high quality, durable material. The set comes with a pool cover, ground cloth, removable ladder, filter pump and a repair patch. It says that it can fill up to a maximum of 42 inches of water. So excited to jump in it when the weather warms up a bit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The very first step I suggest doing is read the instructions. The instructions were very vague and not for this specific pool but for most Intex above ground pools. We've never set up a pool before and had skimmed through the instructions. Instructions claim only two people will be needed and pool set-up will take about 30-60 minutes. We could have used a total of 4 people, and it was a whole day event. We first mapped out the area the pool would be set up on and added about 12 more inches per the circle. We weedeated to the dirt removing rocks and any debris that could damage the pool, sprayed the rest with round-up weed killer. Poured sand and as best to our ability leveled it out. We laid out a thick plastic tarp along with the thin tarp that the pool came standard with. Opened the contents of the box and began to set up the pool. The pool itself was rolled up and not folded, which is where two more people would have made the process of spreading the pool a little easier. Once we had the pool on the tarps and as centered as possible, we began to add the horizontal parts along with the legs. do not do this! Per the instructions you first add all the poles and braces that belong horizontal, then you go back around adding the legs. No tools required. Once we had the pool up and the bottom smoothed out to the best of our ability, we set up the pump. The pumps instructions that came with the pump box showed just a plunger valve on the inlet side. The instructions that came with the pool stated if it was purchased as a set, which the pool was, stated a plunger valve was be included but was not. We had to figure out how we would stop the water from coming out when we had to do maintenance on the pump. We figured a small black nipple would go over the hole inside the pool but nowhere in the instructions did it state that. It did work once we filled the pool and tested it to see if it would stop water from going into the pump. Once the pool was set up, we did buy products and pool cleaning tools as needed and it was finally hot enough to get in for an hour. The pool will be in about 90% direct sunlight all the time. It does come with a Clearview area around the whole perimeter of the pool which allows you to look out from underwater and that has held up and I've had no leaks. We run the pump for about 8 hours a day at the hottest part of the day and the best thing is that the pump has a timer and has had no issue turning off. Ladder was easy to assemble, we had no issue coming in or out of the pool, but it's not as sturdy as I'd like. Pool does come with a pool cover which we've had no reason to use as I clean the pool about once or twice a day, morning or evening.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s almost summertime and we wanted to get an above ground pool, bigger than what we had before. After looking around we decided on the Intex 17' Xx48" Clearview Prism Frame Above Ground Swimming Pool Set because it was bigger than our last one and Intex is a brand we’ve wonder and trust. We’ve had it up a little over a week and got in a few times and everything has been great. There isn’t anything Bad to say about the function of the pool so far. The pool comes with a ladder, filter and pump with timer and cover. Setting it up was ok, I highly suggest 3-4 people so you can spread out the jobs and have more hands for putting the poles together and in place, the pool liner is heavy. It was fairly easy to put together, be sure to follow the instructions and the top rim first before you put on the legs. At first we didn’t and couldn’t get the last top piece on so we took of all the legs and with lots of elbow grease got it in. The ladder was easy to put together. The pump was a little wonky to set up, at first I had all the tubes put on backwards, the instructions are kinda hard to follow. It gives you messy pictures and instructions but you have to make sure you’re on the right directions based on your size pool. The pool said 17ft across however instructions were for 16 and 18, unmmm what?!! This is the sole reason I’m giving it 4 stars so far, it was a mess switching over the hoses with an already filled pool because of washy instructions. Same as the pool instructions, having 2/3 different sets of instructions in 2 book make it difficult to follow along. All pieces there nothing was missing which is always a relief. I still haven’t really figured out the timer thing, instructions tell you how long to run the pump at a time, instead of all day, based on pool size. Overall, so far, my only complaint is messy instructions. I would highly recommend 1 pool size in the instruction booklet and clearer pictures. But we love the pool and can’t wait to spend the summer in it.
I am extremely angry with Walmart for selling me a faulty item and because it's beyond the return window - it's not their problem. I bought this in the winter months bc as a single mom that's when I could afford to. Come a few months later, I set it up, fill it and as it approaches the window seam- what do you know, it's SPLIT in multiple places!! There are also puncture marks all around the pool sides but haven't yet perforated all the way through smh. I will NEVER make a big purchase through Walmart again.
pump missing parts. as well poor customer service. I reach out and no return call. I used the online survey as well nothing's. heard nothing.
