I used to dispose of numerous containers of ground nutmeg until I stumbled upon the realm of authentic nutmeg flavor from freshly grated nuts! These are not only cost-effective but also provide you with the most delightful aroma and taste every time you grate them using a microplane! My husband even remarked on the difference in my mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, which is quite rare for him as he usually enjoys all my cooking (lol). I've experimented with it in various dishes and beverages, and I can confidently say I won't be buying ground nutmeg ever again!

I appreciate that these small, aromatic hard spheres transform into some of the most delicious flavor enhancers you can come across! Speaking of which, have you ever wondered about the origin of its name? I understand the "nut" part, but "meg" is a mystery to me. Maybe a girl named Margaret stumbled upon one in a field one day, added some to her eggnog, and thus "Nut O' Marg" evolved into the current "Nutmeg" over time. In her honor, we could call it "Meggnog." It's definitely a great deal for the price. You can't make a wrong choice with this jar!

Plastic lid was broken so no way to keep them fresh.

tried to grate it, but its falling apart, not solid, but cracked and porous. cant use it.
