A rock hit my windshield and put a small crater and a couple of cracks in it. I dreaded having to make a claim on my insurance so I told my wife I would repair it. I read the instructions and looked at a YouTube video. Well, the moment of truth arrived, even reading the instructions, I didn’t follow them perfectly. That didn’t matter, it came out perfect. I really can’t believe I did it. It was that easy! The can’t wait to do it again.
This is my go to brand. I was in an automotive store and someone recommended another brand, when I got my 2nd chip in my windshield. that brand was not user friendly and was pricey. Got another chip (3rd one thanks TX roads!) in my windshield I went back to JB Weld. Easy to follow directions and does the job right! Save yourself some $$ buy JB Weld. read the directions thoroughly then use the product on your windshield chip. I highly recommend this for chips in your windshield.
I spent a lot of time on the highway. Unfortunately about a week ago another vehicle kicked up a rock and hit my windshield. Surfing the web for a remedy. I found that JB Weld produced windshield repair products. I was immediately sold from past experience with their Marine Weld and a product for filling holes in automotive body panels (can't remember the products name). This product had very easy step-by-step written and pictorial directions. I could get over how well the products resin filled in the hole. The results after looked like a very small pin hole. But it was smooth with no indentation. I'm thinking about buying a package just to have "on-hand."
i got a chip on the highway and i went right to Walmart to get this. Came home and did it in the garage around midnight and in 25 degree temperature. I was super surprised it work in the cold and its stop the chip from getting bigger. I have a spare one in my tool box for just in case.
I caught a rock on my windshield on my crosstrek wilderness. The crack was about the size of a quarter. I bought this product because of the name number one and from the reviews I read. This is amazing! My husband was reluctantly so I did it myself and it worked!! No longer have a crack in my windshield!! I have already ordered more to be prepared since I drive the highway everyday. Thank you !!
The instructions are fairly easy to follow. Chip was fingernail size. Allow for some time and a nice day or work indoors.
Product worked great and easy to use. Repaired dime size crack very well. Can hardly see a trace of the crack. Almost invisible. Great product.
You have to do it like it supposed to to be done. I actually found a you tube video to make sure I’m doing it correctly. Watch the video and pause if you have to like I did %26 it saved me on a rental car return🙏🏽. All because something hit the glass on the freeway🙄but it was a small chip and now it nothing there
it's just terrible. The whole syringe thing is dumb, very hard to use. The curing patch wouldn't stay over the chip at all, like it was made out of Teflon, sliding all over the place. I've made several repairs with other kits that have the spider-looking thing with a screw that work great. I took a chance and lost.
This product is a total waste of money. It doesn’t work . I followed the instructions on the manufacturer’s videos and it didn’t work At all. It’s a total waste of money. Find another product: now I have to look for another product to try and fix this problem. The chip on my windshield is small , it’s not a crack and this product claimed to fix chips of up to 1 1/4 in diameter . It’s didn’t for me
